Picnic Train - Dungog - Maitland - Dungog - October 2023

Spent an awesome morning chasing the Picnic Train between Maitland, Paterson and Oakhampton. We were unable to get to the railway bridge across the Hunter River as the housing estate has grown compared to Google Maps - but we tracked around to Oakhampton and tried from the railway crossing. Paterson Railway Bridge was a much easier experience - there is even a car park next to the bridge - with toilets...bliss. A friendly warning - we used the online timetable to time our arrival at locations but the train was early on each occasion so opportunities for footage / photographs were lost.
