It is night here in Greece when you upload so I wait till the morning to enjoy your video with a nice breakfast to start my day relaxed and motivated! You are the best!
I'm making tote bags inspired by the tutorial you shared in an older 10-minute sewing projects video! My list is at 17 right now for all of my family members and a few of my closest friends. It was quite ambitious but it's so fun seeing them all come together!!
I do the coasters but, add a mug and a few tea bags, or cocoa or coffee. I really like to do a set of quick pieced and quilted coasters, ( Also,so much fun to do with youngsters and hand sewing)!
Just beautiful ideas, I particularly love the idea of fabric and a sewing pattern. I would love to receive that. You have such a unique and quirky style, Jenelle, it’s so refreshing to watch.
Your videos is the best part of my day and I look for it at the end of the day after school to just relax and watch your videos ❤️ Love your videos God bless you and I hope you have a great day❤️
More lovely ideas, thank you. Let's face it, who doesn't need an extra tote bag in their handbag for car? Men appreciate them too! I'm making coasters for wine bottles for gifts this year . I bought a pile of cheap bath towels to use as wadding. A couple of layers of towelling makes good padding for pot holders too. PS: Looking forward to Part 2 tomorrow!
This series was amazing. I looked forward to your uploads every day and I am making cute stuff. I hope you will have a similar series again. Such fun! Thank you for sharing all of these great projects.
I am just starting to learn to sew and I am SO glad I found your channel. While looking for beginner sewing ideas, I also just found a great birthday gift for my friend who is more advanced and has been helping me! Some fabric and one of your lovely patterns 🤍
Another video, another nice bundle of practical tips! Well done! Re: the tote bags - they can actually double as gift wrapping, which is really cool! I understand you wanted to make this tutorial as simple as possible, however I thought I'd add a couple of tips, which I learned when I made a bag for my sister (yes, it was a gift wrap :D) earlier this year. 1) use fusible interfacing in the handles, they will be more comfortable for your hands and shoulders 2) if you have enough fabric, consider making the fold at the top wider and sew the handles onto two layers of fabric, they will be sturdier this way 3) more advanced option for handles: attach a fabric strip to the top edge, preferably with some interfacing ironed on, and then you'll have two layers to attach the handles to 4) try to attach a pocket! two rectangles, sew right sides together leaving a small opening, turn right side out, press the whole thing flat while tucking the opening in, then sew onto the bag's body 5) it's easier to add modifications/pockets/sturdier handles/zipper if you leave sewing the actual bag sides and bottom to the very end 6) attach the handles using the 'box' method.
I've been making the bag from your last tutorial and also the tool wrap. I've made 3 of each! I was going to make everyone a keychain for a little filler gift but I think I might actually make some coasters for the girls! Such a perfect idea! Love your videos so much!!! Never stop sewing!!! xxxx
Thanks Janelle. Just made the Linen pillowcases. I made them a bit longer so the pillow is very secure. What a lovely gift. Made scruncies with the left over fabric.
I can’t wait until after Christmas so I can post some of the gifts I’ve been making from your ten minute sewing videos! Cant wait for part two tomorrow!
Hi....great gift ideas Janelle💖💖💖💖 You are blessed with awesome teaching skills....thank you for making everything seem soo easy and doable. ... I really look forward to watching your videos everyday. ..keep up the good work and please continue with these gift ideas in future. ... Remain blessed xxx
Love all your Christmas videos Janelle but this one is a particular favourite. Love love love tote bag, drink coasters, and especially the pillowslips💚🧡! Your suggestion of a length of dress fabric with one of your patterns is perfect for someone super special!!lead
Probably the best video with DIY Christmas gifts ever! Thank you! And what a great idea with the candles! I've never thought how easy it is to twist them just with hot water. :)
I still can't get over when you said that it's basically summer's temperatures during the winter where you live. By the way, I absolutely love your style!!
Made a couple of pillowcases for my dad for Christmas today! Keen to pass them on 😌 Thanks for the idea! I also know my husband, Ovi, is getting me one of your sewing patterns for Christmas and I'm super excited for that!! I don't know which pattern it is 😁 But they're all gorgeous, I'll be happy with any 😍
I'm really loving your content 😍. I'm just starting out about using the sewing machine my grandma gave to me and I'm looking for some ideas what to make for practice. Btw my grandma lives in Perth now 🇦🇺💕😊
Hey I just made the tote bag , thank u so much . It came out perfect . I’m an idiot is stitched the handles in the incorrect place lol so it not in the right place but still looks good . Will tag you in my story 💕
Helloo Roseryy! May I just ask, what kind of stitches do you use? And is it necessary to use other kind of stitches depending on what project you are making? By the wayy, I really love your videos! Thank you for sharing your ideas
I have the same sewing machine as you do and i find that when i sew around bulky corners like you did here on your coasters that my foot gets stuck on the corner and tends to sew in the same spot until i hand crank it or 'nurse' it through, any tips on how you got those corners stitched so evenly!?
Are you using wool felt for the inside of the coasters? It looks so much thicker and nicer than felt I have been able to find here in my town in Canada. Those twisted candles are lovely.
How do you fold your seams so accurately without measuring?! When I've done napkins or straps, it take so long because I have to measure the seam allowance to make it straight

I would be lining (and possibly also interfacing) any tote bag for strength.
Somebody's going to be happy on Christmas day!

Hi Janelle! Love your channel! What kind of fabric is best to use for the tote bag? I'm so excited to make it!
Thanks so much! I used a medium weight cotton fabric for mine 😊
I made my dad , my boyfriend and my boyfriend's brother all scarfs.
This is amazing! Your video came out just as I needed it :D
Helloo Roseryy! May I just ask, what kind of stitches do you use? And is it necessary to use other kind of stitches depending on what project you are making?

Where did you get the floral fabric from? It's gorgeous! 😍
Thanks! I bought it when I was in Japan at the start of the year 😍

Yeah👏👏👏

Do you think you could make a lined tote bag?
Are you using wool felt for the inside of the coasters? It looks so much thicker and nicer than felt I have been able to find here in my town in Canada. Those twisted candles are lovely.
It’s actually a type of wadding as it’s all I had, but I find simple acrylic felt works best for the coasters as it’s not too thick! 😊
How do you fold your seams so accurately without measuring?! When I've done napkins or straps, it take so long because I have to measure the seam allowance to make it straight
Practice I guess! I’ve been sewing pretty much every day for over a decade, so things like that become second nature after a while 😊
Hi I am so interested in sewing... can I ask what is the name or type of the fabric/cloth that you are using?
If you dont have an overlocker do you do a straight stitch first then the zigzag stitch or just the zigzag?
Straight stitch first, then zig zag just along the edge of the fabric 😊
Hi! I love your videos so much and I was wondering where you got your candles, I can’t seem to find any nice ones around. Thank you!
I got mine from an Australian store called Dusk 😊
@@RoseryApparel thank you! I’ll be sure to have a look.
How much fabric do you need for the bag? Thanks😊
About 0.75 - 1 metre/yard of fabric depending on the width 😊
💝👍👍👍👍
Is there a reason why you don’t line your bags?
Has anyone bought from sewingmachinen.com? Thoughts? Reviews?
Your videos is the best part of my day and I look for it at the end of the day after school to just relax and watch your videos ❤️
