I’ve had the iPhone 6s (the regular one, not the Plus) since it was launched in 2015, and have never put any type of screen protector on it and yet, my screen is still in perfect conditions. And believe me, I always get it into my jeans’ pockets and not even like that have gotten a single scratch during all this time
Do you know the glasses on 11 models are less brittle making them the most easily scratch-able phones of the bunch (but also less chances of cracking)? A lot people were really surprised at first about this phone how it scratched.
Having had the iPhone 11 for quite a while now, I am certain to report it to be sufficient in every and any respect. To me, the wide camera is by far more important than the telephoto. The battery life is fantastic! Lasts the entire day, and still has about 45-50% juice left in the tank. The screen is plenty sharp. If you squint and shut one eye and close the other, there might be a difference. But if you use your phone as a regular guy (girl), it is plenty sharp (and even color correct). The winner takes it all! iPhone 11!
I don’t know if my battery is defective but mine only lasts 3 hours. It’s been like this for 4 months now. One time it was 20% and it was draining like crazy in my pocket when I wasn’t even using it at all. It later died in 2 hours when it was sitting in my pocket.
Tbh I don’t think Ima go from my 11 to the 12 right away. I hate all the possibilities of the design. Than again I hated the 11 design but it grew on me quickly 😂

I definitely haven’t had any regrets with buying the 11 Pro Max at all! I switched from the 7 plus to the 11 Pro Max and I’m LOVING this phone! Great battery, amazing photo/video capabilities and does everything I needed to do and more!
I have been using my iPhone 11 for 8 months now and have been having a great experience with it. Although, one thing I have noticed is that it starts to heat up while playing more intensive games (such as fortnite) and even brought up the temperature warning five times! But other than that, it's a great phone.
Love both of these phones. Have a regular 11 Pro as my daily driver. It’s the best smart phone I’ve ever owned, and the most satisfied I’ve been with a purchase. From the build quality to the comfort to the battery life to the camera, it’s incredible.
I've had the 11 and 11 Pro and I've got to agree with what you say. For me, I only notice a difference in the display if they're right next to each other and I look closely. I'm yet to find a use for the extra lens, it's only been somewhat useful on a couple occasions. The battery life on both is very good and last me all day. For me, it wasn't worth the switch to the 11 Pro, but if the screen and camera are a big enough deal for you then it might be.
I suppose what I am wanting to say . . The 11 Pro Max is NOT worth the extra money over The 11 !! But I Don’t CARE . . I will spend the extra money to get the MAX. It’s an emotional decision . . Not a common sense decision.
I bought the iPhone 11 Pro Max at launch thinking I would like it but I have cerabal palsy and don’t have the use of my left hand,I thought I could handle it with one hand but I could not. So back in April I bought a 11 pro I can handle that great! Should of got that at the beginning.

Bought Iphone 11(128gb) along with airpods pro for $1068 instead of just buying 11 Pro Max for $1099. For me it is more value for money,getting almost everything plus airpods pro as well.
Brian Lee yeah I can’t lie it’s one of the best phones I have ever used for battery life. iPhone has always put a battery in it’s been barely acceptable when Brand New and then as it ages turned pretty poor they really did a good job putting a big battery in an iPhone for once and it turns it into a battery monster they should go ahead and do the same next year and put in some extra rim and just let the phone be a beast they need to give us the option to Speed up the animations because the hardware is extremely snappy but you can’t tell with the stock animations
I have the iPhone 11 in Black and I love it! I compared 11 and 11 Pro Max at apple store before buying and being money wise, I chose 11 because I don't really mind some of the specs in 11 Pro Max not being in iPhone 11. My phone before 11 was iPhone X...
I upgraded to 11 from 8+ and it's great! The camera is noticeably better and I like the full screen plus you can have up to 6 phone numbers/sims (great for business)
I upgraded from the 6s to the Xs Max, when it became available in Quebec, in November 2018. At first the OLED screen hurt my eyes but after a few weeks they became accustomed to it and all has been well ever since. I love my phone and am looking forward to see what is available this November when my contract runs out. I appreciate all your input on the different models. Keep up the good work.
I have had a regular 11 for a couple months now and coming from an Android, it’s been a perfect “entry level” iPhone for me. It has the same chip as the “Pros” and a lot of the cool features but just in a more affordable package. I have a friend who has a Pro Max and she loves it because it’s big. Some people like big phones, I like something that fits in my hands well. Overall I enjoy it, I think when it’s time to upgrade I might see what the pro model has to offer.
Usually I go for the biggest and greatest model. iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black, iPhone X etc. But I’m going for the most value this year, the iPhone 11. Found a great deal whilst on lockdown for 500 on eBay. 100% battery health, no scratches. Loving it so far.
You can either make a screen extremely hard so it doesn't scratch but then it's brittle and it will crack easily or you can make it soft where it can take some shock and it won't crack as easy but will scratch easier

I am "really into tech" and I still prefer LCD sometimes. OLED is not a Perfect technology and if you're into tech, you should know that. I really prefer some benefits of LCD like not having to worry about burn in AT ALL, and also don't feel forced to use dark mode all the time because the battery life is much worse using light mode. I really prefer light mode doing the day time and with an LCD I just can use it without thinking about a different battery life.

@@sylvia4425 1. Burn in means images that remain on the screen too long will get permanently printed or grafted on to the screen, though to some degree translucent. 2. Dark mode saves you battery life.
I don't know why....BUT when you played videos on UA-cam I preferred the colours of the iPhone 11's screen! Maybe my eyes have melted because I watch iPhone 11 reviews all day long...
The size and weight of the pro max def made me take it back to the store and exchanged it for a pro and I don't regret it even though you don't get as much battery as the max
Glad I found this video. My Pro Max arrives in the morning and I've been an avid Android user for about 8 years. Since Pixels were created I've had them every year but I fancied a change. Big change from stock android to iOS but here's hoping it goes well! Screen protector and Dbrand skin en route also 😎👌
Bran it’s not bad tbh. There’s things I miss, fingerprint scanner for one, and things I find useful on iPhones. It’s just different, not significantly better or worse
@@OptimisedHealth upgraded to 13 Pro Max so couldn’t tell you honestly but I do know that the girl I sold it to is happy still. 13 is better in every department but 11 is more comfortable due to rounded edges. That’s pretty much it. I still recommend Apple products if the customisation features of Android don’t appeal to you. Optimisation is unbeaten and nowadays all phones are so similar at flagship level that it really just comes down to ease of use and reliability, hence why I picked apple again. Hope that helps!
Rori Ramokolo they make serious cash from you tube also I think thers a few techs that Apple gives phones to for testing but for the most they have a ton of them you don’t see that many drop or bend tests no more remember wen they droped them from 10 stories to see who had the best phone or a case for it absolutely stupid but these guys made serious cash from you tube so ther nothing to them you want a phone start making videos lol
Iphone 11 has the same camera like the big brothers so it has exactly the same photo quality like them! The zoom camera doesn’t affect the quality of the rest of the cameras. The only thing that the triple camera does better is the separation in portrait which is very very subtle. The thing that makes you think that 11 pro and pro max captures better images is that you will review them on their screen which is net superior over the 11 and much sharper. Taking the pictures and review them on the same screen quality will show that is literally no difference between them. Thanks for an awesome review.
I have had my iPhone 8 Plus 256GB for just under 3 years now and I have been watching a large number of videos on the iPhone 11 Pro Max and previews of the upcoming iPhone 12 Pro Max. I am retired and tend to hold onto my phones just a little bit longer than the younger phone owners, as I generally pass my phone on in the family for another period of use. I am leaning more to the 11 Pro Max because it is a proven phone over the last 12 months. I am not really worried about the 5G as it is in its infancy and it hasn’t got a large coverage here in Australia as yet. I will wait until the Apple Official press release on 8th September and make my decision then.
Very good presentation. I’m still rocking my iPhone 8+ with no issues. I’m waiting for the iPhone 12 so I can compare the 11 with the 12 so I can make a final decision for my next upgrade. Hopefully this will be the best decision.

How many charge cycles do you have so far? You can download 3uTools to know. Based on the number of months used, your batt is degrading normally. I’m assuming you’re a moderate to heavy user.
Went from a Samsung S6 to IPhone 11 in Purple, have to say making the transition from Android to IPhone was not as hard as some folks make it out to be. I always slap on a screen protector and case so if I want later I can resell. Cameras on iPhone 11 are everything I use in a daily, all about that wide angle. Battery life on this phone is impressive for me can use it all day/part of night and still have 45-50% when I get home after midnight. So Far nothing but good things since I made the switch to IOS. Optimization on this phone is superb and the SiRI integration within Apples Ecosystem is top notch something google lacks at times. No Regrets.

Hi! I just have a question about the displays! Have you noticed your 11 pro having a yellowish warm tint to the display? I got an 11 pro last week and I noticed, even when tru tone and night shift are off, that the display is much yellower than my friend’s Xs. Could this be intentional to prevent blue light eye damage or wtv?? Also, when viewing off angle, the display turns much cooler than viewing straight ahead. Also when I compared the 11 pro with the Xs the 11 pro was not any substantially brighter than the xs, contrary to what reviewers (such as yourself) have said. Could my model be a defect? When I turn on auto-brightness on the 11 pro it’s obvious that the cs is brighter. But with auto-brightness off, the 11 pro will be slightly brighter, but nothing substantial like I’ve read a lot about. The XDR display should be able to climb up to around 821 Nits. I also read that on the home screen of the pro max it could go up to 902 nits, and HDR stuff should be 1290 nits. Is it just that nits mean nothing and in real life you can’t even notice a difference?? Thanks. Wilson

I should say I’m now a happy iPhone user now since late August 2020. There are a few Android features I miss (Google’s “Smart Lock” is probably top of the list, but also double tap power button for camera shortcut). As a whole OS I don’t think one is better than the other, but certainly each has standout features that the other lacks or doesn’t do as well. USB tethering is different too. Android you can tether to wifi or cellular data (handy when my pc wifi adapter died) iPhone doesn’t allow for that - USB tethering automatically grabs cellular with no option to access wifi. Could I switch back? Yes, but at this point I see no compelling reason to do so.

This Fall, I will be upgrading from my First Generation SE to either the 11 or 12. I'm going to wait and see which I think is the better option for me. Especially if there's a great price drop on the 11, that might persuade me to opt for the 11 or the 12. I will see.
I’ve used my 11 pro since release day and no issues or complaints. I’ve jailbroken it as well on different firmwares. I still have a 100% battery health as well! 👍🏾
I got an INSANE deal and got a black iPhone 11 + 2nd Gen Airpods for $755 CAD after tax. Thats $575 USD and i am very happy with it. The 11 is a beast when it comes to camera, overall performance, and battery. The thicker bezels to me aren’t even noticeable after a while of using the phone. You’ll get used to it. The 828p LCD display is MORE than enough. Apple did an amazing job making an LCD display look this amazing, though i still wish they added the OLED panel but that would make everyone buy the 11 over the pros. My friend got the Pro Max and AirPod Pros for a total of $1819 CAD and he's very disappointed. He payed over $1000 more than i did for an extra hour of battery life, a telephoto lens and OLED display. Trust me, the 11 is not far behind the pros and it is the BEST value.
Thank you for this review. I have been vacillating for days on which phone to get. The pro max is amazing with pictures and such but just seems too big for my smaller hands. Plus I have been hearing mixed reviews on getting the pro max if you take lots of pictures. However, I can't justify the big size and the amount of money. I agree they should have put all the features on all 3 phones rather that just on the pro and pro max. am going to go with the Iphone 11.

Got the iphone 11 pro max and got a massive headache after 15-20 minutes it took just to set it up. Hated it and returned it. I can’t do the OLEDs’ my eyes were so strained. I take a lot of photos so I wanted it for the camera but just couldn’t handle it. I’m going to give the 11 a try.

I have had my iPhone 11 since October, and I can't tell you enough how good it is. I have used the 11 pro max and 11 since October and the difference is not worth $400 extra for the pro or pro max. I personally think that if your not a tech nerd or someone who wants the most expensive iphone model, the 11 is amazing and it's still a great way for a iphone user using a old model like the iPhone 8, 7 or iPhone 6 to switch to the no home button "lifestyle". From someone who came from a 7, the camera is alot better, battery is better and its faster. If you previously had the X, XS or XR, this is not an upgrade, wait for the 12.

I recently was in the similar boat. I had the 7plus since 2017, and was deciding between the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. I ended up going with the 11 Pro Max, which came in almost 2 days ago. I was already used to the size of the phone, so that was swaying my decision. But when I began to learn about how much longer the battery last on the 11 Pro Max - it sealed the deal. I have a couple of friends who have the 11 Pro Max, and they all mentioned that the battery alone is worth the price difference. And so far being 2 days in, I’m really happy with it. Also, I’m a bit of a techie. So like Brandon Butch mentioned in the video, I immediately noticed the difference in the OLED on the 11 Pro Max screen. The blacks are soo good that the notch at the top of the screen basically disappears when looking at videos fullscreen or when anything black appears in that area of the screen.

I have the base model iPhone 11 and I love it and wouldn’t trade for any Android phone in the market right now. I upgraded from the Galaxy Note 8 and I’m noticing the difference in LCD vs AMOLED, no doubt. But it’s still a pretty decent screen and I’m getting much more battery life vs when my Note was brand new. So the memes about Apple’s battery not lasting is just not relevant anymore... here in my country, the base model sells for USD $955 and I can’t justify spending $1000 on a smartphone so I bought the 11, but if I could get the base model Pro for a lower price I’d definitely prefer it.
I’ve been using my iPhone 11 Pro Max for 9 months also, my biggest beef is the lens flare on the camera system, I’m a photographer and that’s one reason why I bought the phone...just something I can just pull out and use. I don’t think there’s a fix for it either.
Got the 11 Pro here. Amazing phone for sure (battery - I can go 2.5 days at times. Cameras are ridiculous). So happy I am on the iPhone Upgrade Program, can't wait to see what he 12 Pro brings. What I like about the pro max only is the bigger size and the fact that it’s matte ... other than that the iPhone 11 is better as it’s also considered big and cheaper while offering a great quality

Brian Lee yeah I can’t lie it’s one of the best phones I have ever used for battery life. iPhone has always put a battery in it’s been barely acceptable when Brand New and then as it ages turned pretty poor they really did a good job putting a big battery in an iPhone for once and it turns it into a battery monster they should go ahead and do the same next year and put in some extra rim and just let the phone be a beast they need to give us the option to Speed up the animations because the hardware is extremely snappy but you can’t tell with the stock animations

I compared 11 and 11 Pro Max at apple store before buying and being money wise, I chose 11 because I don't really mind some of the specs in 11 Pro Max not being in iPhone 11.
My phone before 11 was iPhone X...
I upgraded to 11 from 8+ and it's great! The camera is noticeably better and I like the full screen plus you can have up to 6 phone numbers/sims (great for business)
I upgraded from the 6s to the Xs Max, when it became available in Quebec, in November 2018. At first the OLED screen hurt my eyes but after a few weeks they became accustomed to it and all has been well ever since. I love my phone and am looking forward to see what is available this November when my contract runs out. I appreciate all your input on the different models. Keep up the good work.

I got the 11 but honestly the 11 Pro is such an eye candy.
I have had a regular 11 for a couple months now and coming from an Android, it’s been a perfect “entry level” iPhone for me. It has the same chip as the “Pros” and a lot of the cool features but just in a more affordable package. I have a friend who has a Pro Max and she loves it because it’s big. Some people like big phones, I like something that fits in my hands well. Overall I enjoy it, I think when it’s time to upgrade I might see what the pro model has to offer.

Usually I go for the biggest and greatest model. iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black, iPhone X etc. But I’m going for the most value this year, the iPhone 11. Found a great deal whilst on lockdown for 500 on eBay. 100% battery health, no scratches. Loving it so far.

You can either make a screen extremely hard so it doesn't scratch but then it's brittle and it will crack easily or you can make it soft where it can take some shock and it won't crack as easy but will scratch easier

I am "really into tech" and I still prefer LCD sometimes. OLED is not a Perfect technology and if you're into tech, you should know that.
I really prefer some benefits of LCD like not having to worry about burn in AT ALL, and also don't feel forced to use dark mode all the time because the battery life is much worse using light mode. I really prefer light mode doing the day time and with an LCD I just can use it without thinking about a different battery life.
Also LCD costs much cheaper to replace than OLED.

1. Burn in means images that remain on the screen too long will get permanently printed or grafted on to the screen, though to some degree translucent.
2. Dark mode saves you battery life.
I don't know why....BUT when you played videos on UA-cam I preferred the colours of the iPhone 11's screen!

The size and weight of the pro max def made me take it back to the store and exchanged it for a pro and I don't regret it even though you don't get as much battery as the max
Glad I found this video. My Pro Max arrives in the morning and I've been an avid Android user for about 8 years. Since Pixels were created I've had them every year but I fancied a change. Big change from stock android to iOS but here's hoping it goes well! Screen protector and Dbrand skin en route also 😎👌

Bran it’s not bad tbh. There’s things I miss, fingerprint scanner for one, and things I find useful on iPhones. It’s just different, not significantly better or worse

@@OptimisedHealth upgraded to 13 Pro Max so couldn’t tell you honestly but I do know that the girl I sold it to is happy still. 13 is better in every department but 11 is more comfortable due to rounded edges. That’s pretty much it. I still recommend Apple products if the customisation features of Android don’t appeal to you. Optimisation is unbeaten and nowadays all phones are so similar at flagship level that it really just comes down to ease of use and reliability, hence why I picked apple again. Hope that helps!

Iphone 11 has the same camera like the big brothers so it has exactly the same photo quality like them! The zoom camera doesn’t affect the quality of the rest of the cameras. The only thing that the triple camera does better is the separation in portrait which is very very subtle. The thing that makes you think that 11 pro and pro max captures better images is that you will review them on their screen which is net superior over the 11 and much sharper. Taking the pictures and review them on the same screen quality will show that is literally no difference between them. Thanks for an awesome review.

I have had my iPhone 8 Plus 256GB for just under 3 years now and I have been watching a large number of videos on the iPhone 11 Pro Max and previews of the upcoming iPhone 12 Pro Max. I am retired and tend to hold onto my phones just a little bit longer than the younger phone owners, as I generally pass my phone on in the family for another period of use.
I am leaning more to the 11 Pro Max because it is a proven phone over the last 12 months. I am not really worried about the 5G as it is in its infancy and it hasn’t got a large coverage here in Australia as yet. I will wait until the Apple Official press release on 8th September and make my decision then.

How many charge cycles do you have so far? You can download 3uTools to know. Based on the number of months used, your batt is degrading normally. I’m assuming you’re a moderate to heavy user.

Went from a Samsung S6 to IPhone 11 in Purple, have to say making the transition from Android to IPhone was not as hard as some folks make it out to be. I always slap on a screen protector and case so if I want later I can resell. Cameras on iPhone 11 are everything I use in a daily, all about that wide angle. Battery life on this phone is impressive for me can use it all day/part of night and still have 45-50% when I get home after midnight. So Far nothing but good things since I made the switch to IOS. Optimization on this phone is superb and the SiRI integration within Apples Ecosystem is top notch something google lacks at times. No Regrets.

Hi! I just have a question about the displays!
Have you noticed your 11 pro having a yellowish warm tint to the display? I got an 11 pro last week and I noticed, even when tru tone and night shift are off, that the display is much yellower than my friend’s Xs. Could this be intentional to prevent blue light eye damage or wtv?? Also, when viewing off angle, the display turns much cooler than viewing straight ahead.
Also when I compared the 11 pro with the Xs the 11 pro was not any substantially brighter than the xs, contrary to what reviewers (such as yourself) have said. Could my model be a defect? When I turn on auto-brightness on the 11 pro it’s obvious that the cs is brighter. But with auto-brightness off, the 11 pro will be slightly brighter, but nothing substantial like I’ve read a lot about. The XDR display should be able to climb up to around 821 Nits. I also read that on the home screen of the pro max it could go up to 902 nits, and HDR stuff should be 1290 nits. Is it just that nits mean nothing and in real life you can’t even notice a difference??

I should say I’m now a happy iPhone user now since late August 2020. There are a few Android features I miss (Google’s “Smart Lock” is probably top of the list, but also double tap power button for camera shortcut). As a whole OS I don’t think one is better than the other, but certainly each has standout features that the other lacks or doesn’t do as well. USB tethering is different too. Android you can tether to wifi or cellular data (handy when my pc wifi adapter died) iPhone doesn’t allow for that - USB tethering automatically grabs cellular with no option to access wifi. Could I switch back? Yes, but at this point I see no compelling reason to do so.

As I watch the slowly but surely I gain a little more knowledge and when the time comes to pick my next phone I will have a better idea of what I’m looking for. This Fall, I will be upgrading from my First Generation SE to either the 11 or 12. I'm going to wait and see which I think is the better option for me. Especially if there's a great price drop on the 11, that might persuade me to opt for the 11 or the 12. I will see.

I got an INSANE deal and got a black iPhone 11 + 2nd Gen Airpods for $755 CAD after tax. Thats $575 USD and i am very happy with it. The 11 is a beast when it comes to camera, overall performance, and battery. The thicker bezels to me aren’t even noticeable after a while of using the phone. You’ll get used to it. The 828p LCD display is MORE than enough. Apple did an amazing job making an LCD display look this amazing, though i still wish they added the OLED panel but that would make everyone buy the 11 over the pros. My friend got the Pro Max and AirPod Pros for a total of $1819 CAD and he's very disappointed. He payed over $1000 more than i did for an extra hour of battery life, a telephoto lens and OLED display. Trust me, the 11 is not far behind the pros and it is the BEST value.

Thank you for this review. I have been vacillating for days on which phone to get. The pro max is amazing with pictures and such but just seems too big for my smaller hands. Plus I have been hearing mixed reviews on getting the pro max if you take lots of pictures. However, I can't justify the big size and the amount of money. I agree they should have put all the features on all 3 phones rather that just on the pro and pro max. am going to go with the Iphone 11.

Got the iphone 11 pro max and got a massive headache after 15-20 minutes it took just to set it up. Hated it and returned it. I can’t do the OLEDs’ my eyes were so strained. I take a lot of photos so I wanted it for the camera but just couldn’t handle it. I’m going to give the 11 a try.

I have had my iPhone 11 since October, and I can't tell you enough how good it is. I have used the 11 pro max and 11 since October and the difference is not worth $400 extra for the pro or pro max. I personally think that if your not a tech nerd or someone who wants the most expensive iphone model, the 11 is amazing and it's still a great way for a iphone user using a old model like the iPhone 8, 7 or iPhone 6 to switch to the no home button "lifestyle". From someone who came from a 7, the camera is alot better, battery is better and its faster. If you previously had the X, XS or XR, this is not an upgrade, wait for the 12.

I recently was in the similar boat. I had the 7plus since 2017, and was deciding between the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. I ended up going with the 11 Pro Max, which came in almost 2 days ago. I was already used to the size of the phone, so that was swaying my decision. But when I began to learn about how much longer the battery last on the 11 Pro Max - it sealed the deal. I have a couple of friends who have the 11 Pro Max, and they all mentioned that the battery alone is worth the price difference. And so far being 2 days in, I’m really happy with it.
Also, I’m a bit of a techie. So like Brandon Butch mentioned in the video, I immediately noticed the difference in the OLED on the 11 Pro Max screen. The blacks are soo good that the notch at the top of the screen basically disappears when looking at videos fullscreen or when anything black appears in that area of the screen.

I have the base model iPhone 11 and I love it and wouldn’t trade for any Android phone in the market right now. I upgraded from the Galaxy Note 8 and I’m noticing the difference in LCD vs AMOLED, no doubt. But it’s still a pretty decent screen and I’m getting much more battery life vs when my Note was brand new. So the memes about Apple’s battery not lasting is just not relevant anymore... here in my country, the base model sells for USD $955 and I can’t justify spending $1000 on a smartphone so I bought the 11, but if I could get the base model Pro for a lower price I’d definitely prefer it.
Why do all tech reviewers assume that 90% of people are broke?
I’ve been using my iPhone 11 Pro Max for 9 months also, my biggest beef is the lens flare on the camera system, I’m a photographer and that’s one reason why I bought the phone...just something I can just pull out and use. I don’t think there’s a fix for it either.
Got the 11 Pro here. Amazing phone for sure (battery - I can go 2.5 days at times. Cameras are ridiculous). So happy I am on the iPhone Upgrade Program, can't wait to see what he 12 Pro brings.
