- In this Bali Travel Guide we share our top 6 attractions to visit from Candidasa. This was our 5th trip to Bali but just the first time we’d stayed in Candidasa. To be honest, before this trip we hadn’t heard of any of these attractions. We stayed in Candidasa for just 3 nights and ventured out everyday to see as much as we could. From these 6 attractions we have to say the Besakih Temple, Mount Lempuyang Temples and Tirta Gangga were the most impressive and definitely worth making the trip to even if you’re not staying in Candidasa.
If you think there are other attractions in the area we missed (we’re sure there are a few. We travel with kids so it can be hard to see everything) please tell everyone in the comments. We’d love to hear about it and try to include it on our next visit to Bali.

I think we’re starting to find our style in the type of videos we create. We actually did 3 different travel vlogs from Candidasa, but when I watched it back, I wasn’t feeling it so put them altogether to make this one video.
Our time at Besakih Temple was crazy! We didn’t show it in this video but we had to walk about 800m up the hill in that rain to get there. You could probably tell all lot of the footage was shot on our iPhone. Left the 80D in the car when ever it was raining. Might be time to get a GoPro 7 or the new Osmo Pocket.

Yeah it was a pretty huge trip! I really underestimated how much time it would take to edit and share all these videos. Happy to say the series is almost over and have some different destinations coming up on the channel.
Nice. Unfortunate about the beach erosion looks like it used to be quite nice. Those steps looked challenging. Amazing culture and landmarks there.

The World n Us I was there last July and went to Ubud and Uluwatu! We spent 10 days there but have so much more to see! No plans in the immediate future, but I’d like to go back soon!

Oh man, those steps up to Mount Lempuyang Temples... solid effort, guys. I would've given up 5 steps in lugging the kiddos. Those stepping stones at Tirta Gangga look like so much fun! I can picture my boys falling right into the water though :S We need to plan a trip back to Bali to explore all these places beyond, well, Kuta and Seminyak.
Haha yeah I’m sure Javi would have fallen in if we weren’t carrying him or watching his every move. Probably the toughest thing about exploring is carrying the kids up steps everywhere. Can’t wait until they’re a bit older and won’t need any help.

Your guys drone footage was amazing as usual, but some really cool slo-mo and dolly like movements here too, especially in the scenes at the temple with all the rain. Awesome awesome work guys and cheers for the Bali tips too, as we hadn't heard of most of these places 😳😎

Happy to hear you liked the video. I was very close to not sharing this part of the trip. This was actually from a few vlogs we made. I just wasn't feeling it watching all the footage so I came up with this idea for having a top 6 attractions.
We can totally relate with you there mate, we also have quite a bit of footage already from Vietnam we feel the same about, or we think is cool, but just doesn't fit anywhere, so having seen what you have done here with your stuff is awesome and giving us ideas, because it truely feels like you shot it all for just this purpose 😎. Super cool to see all the different attractions. I would have had a similar reaction like Javi at looking up those stairs then be like nope lol but those views at the top looked so beautiful and would have been worth it. It's great to see all the old temples and being able to experience new cultures.

We have been watching a lot of videos about Bali lately. Once we get done exploring the US, it may be on the list of places to travel.
SE Asia has a lot to offer. Bali is definitely worth a visit. How long have you been exploring the US for?
Was military for 20 years so we involuntarily explored. 😂 We will start traveling across the US full time this summer in our RV. We are excited.

We do enjoy it here. But a big reason why we kept coming back is because it was the only place that had international flights from where we live in Australia. Used it a few times as a stop over to Thailand and Singapore.

Hi Kevina, thank you! Happy to hear you enjoy this one. We used 2 different carriers on this trip. A Tula and an Ergo Adapt. I think you could do it without one though. Enjoy your visit. You’ll have to let us know how it was for you.
candidasaa, I found so cute hotel here, was visiting last week, the name is Watergarden.. but I di not filming it, was not in the mood hahahha.. but I will come back to do the filming there...and yes, I also just found out many snorkelling spot that I can do there..I love virgin beach, I swam there a few time last year.
We didn't have the best weather at Virgin Beach. Javi had a swim. We pretty much just had something to eat and walked along the beach. Pretty nice spot.

Such a shame the rock used to build the hotels for the people coming to the tourist attraction caused its downfall. I really hope Bali manages to conserve its beauty

We love The Philippines! We're actually trying to work out when we can visit again. Just had a few big changes in our lives lately and have had to keep putting it off. But we will be back eventually.

When we stayed in Candidasa, my wife and the kids were not feeling well enough to leave the hotel. It meant we couldn't take advantage of this kind of trips. On the other hand, I got to snorkel all day... :)
