UBUD AND BEYOND (why this is the best area to stay in Bali)

- If I was to stay long term in Bali (or just as a home base), Ubud would be my top choice. Not only does the central area of Ubud have a lot to offer in and of itself like the Monkey Forest, Campuhan Ridge, beautiful temples, the best yoga studios, incredible restaurants... but it's also a great jump off point for seeing more of the north of the island. It is a very lush and green area, more susceptible to rain (just so you're aware), but really a must see on your trip to Bali. Join me for a tour of the central part of the city, as well as 2 big day trip recommendations: The Gate of Heaven Temple in the east of the island, as well as sunrise trekking the active volcano Mt Batur. Hope you enjoy the video and find it helpful! xx

SafetyWing (best for younger travelers + digital nomads): www.safetywing...
I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. BUT you cannot purchase SafetyWing WHILE in Canada or USA. You can only purchase once already abroad. Hey Mondo is more expensive but offers a higher level of coverage including plans that have trip cancellation/interruption insurance. Hey Mondo would be the better insurance to use if you need travel medical insurance when applying for a visa. Both companies cover covid. I am an affiliate for both companies, but I pay for my own policies.

Nice place in ubud
Thank you Alina. This has to be one of my favorite videos. Bali is just so different than anything I have ever experienced. So green and beautiful it is just hard to believe almost.
As a travel vlogger that dreams of visiting such places some day, you have no idea how this made me so happy. Thank you!
Aw I'm so glad! Hope you visit all the places of your dreams!
Love it! We can totally see you living in Bali!❤
I would 100% come back!
If Alina lived there or anywhere in southeast Asia, she would be happy because housing and other elements of the cost of living are low and quite affordable. In the West, $30-50 meals with drinks in a restaurant are now a thing. And renting a decent place in a safe neighbourhood can literally cost an arm and a leg. Our inflationary times.
@@NormanF62 that's why I saw a lot of Europeans on tiktok coming to Indonesia especially Bali

This brings back memories.
My friend & I rented motorcycles & rode around Ubud. The road was slippery after the rain earlier that day. He fell off his motorcycle & scratched his right knee. Nothing serious, though. He was fine.
Wow, your video makes Ubud look absolutely stunning! I keep going there whenever I make a trip to Bali to get some cooler temperature, greenery and endless temples.

Oh my god, that's beautiful! I'm Canadian too and I would love to go somewhere tropical like this, especially since winter is coming :)

You are a beautiful woman , than you.
On the Campuhan Ridge walk do stop for a cold coconut drink + view..delightful!
Always welcome here ♥️
bali has become another real adventure series. really like the series adventures . thanks for the trip.
My pleasure!
Wow Bali looks spectacular. Great video Alina
Awesome video as usual!! Thanks for all your behind-the-scenes work to entertain us. Safe travels to your next destination!
Thank you! Just arrived to the new place!
Welcome to Bali, a little island of Indonesia, thank you so much for your explain with ur see it...Nice to see you Alina....😍😍😍🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨
I am Indonesia and i wanna say thank you Alina..,.welcome to my country.
Hello Alina, your video is interesting, it's cool that you show these tourist places in Bali Philippines, thanks for taking the time to do them and I hope to continue seeing more trips. A hug
I come from Indonesia, we are proud to have Bali. Thank you very much because you have introduced Indonesia and Bali to the world through your UA-cam channel
Bali is so many things to so many different people. However, I believe the truly unique aspect of Bali is it's culture. Sure it has nice beaches, volcanoes, waterfalls, marine wildlife, surfing spots, nightclubs, resorts and cafes, but the most unique and visit worthy aspect is Balinese culture. The dances, music, painting, sculptures, village traditions, wet agriculture, story-telling still thrive in an authentic setting.
Unlike Cambodia's Angkor Wat, Peru's Macchu Picchu, Burma's Bagan and Java's Borobudur or Egypt's Pyramids, the Balinese culture that created the rich architecture is still alive.
Whereas the Incas, Khmers, Burmese and Javanese are not 'living' in the culture that created all those architectural wonders, the Balinese are.
Agreed, balinese people are living with their traditions and cultures with or without tourists
Thank you for your appreciation about my country Indonesia 🇮🇩 especially for Bali. Warm love and big hugs from me in Medan - Indonesia 🇮🇩
Wonderful nature and fantastic video.
I kept UBUD in my bucket list.
Thank you
Thank you for sharing this great video! Ubud is now on my list of places to visit!
My pleasure!
One of the best videos in yt for ubud Bali, thank you
My pleasure!
Loverly vid Alina what a place !,Ive always been turned off going to Bali cause of the over tourism on the south coast but in this vid the alternative is stunning .
I was in ubud 2 weeks ago really enjoyed it.
It’s really very greener and beautiful 🤩 love it 😍
Wow amizing... Beautifull nature
Wow, Ubud looks incredible!
I'm going to Ubud later this year. I'm going to try your favourite Kafe, and maybe even that guest house! I'm for sure going to see a number of the places you showed us. This was a really nice show and tell. I like your chill editing style, compared to the high energy cuts from others. I found my accommodation in Canggu watching another person's video too. When the creators walk around the streets, you see all the place names and signs for accomm, and can google them to check it out. In the wrong context that would be creepy, but in this case it's just so helpful for a first timer to Bali!
I'm glad and hope you have a wonderful time!
Many thanks Alina for this interesting video about Ubud, there's so much to see indeed as you said that this video gives just a taste of it, I agree one can spend months in Bali and still discover amazing places any day.
For those who prefer to avoid the busy Ubud center, there are many options just out of town with great rooms overlooking paddy fields, with daily views on Batur and Agung. There a scooter will be a must to get around.
Candidasa more on the eastern coast is another great location to explore the countryside, small desa, incredible temples and secluded beaches. Direct contact with villagers in the valleys who rarely see Westeners is usually rewarding as Balinese know what hospitality really means, lots of smiles guaranteed !
Being lucky to be fluent in Bahasa and familiar with many islands of Indonesia, it's wonderful to meet and discuss with so many people so spontaneously. Indonesia lovers can't help returning to Bali time and again...
Hi there, nice video! Thought about learning a bit of Bahasa though? Really easy! it's actually not "Campur" but "Champur" as in "Champion". And BTW, for the ones on the budget, a Veg Nasi Campur costs only 10.000 in any very local Warung (local eatery) but those are hard to get by in downtown Ubud. Oh, i and i got here about 10 days ago right when this video was published and I'll be here for another 10 days, literally love it!! My guesthouse is also absolutely awesome (Swimming Pool, cool patio, large bathroom...) with a "wild" breakfast included also for literally 10$ a night, that's crazy! Ceers, I mean Cheers ;)
Awesome video of Ubud....love the place
Very nice video Alina, as Ubud is one of my favourite place in Bali.
Waauuu...
Wonderful...
So beautiful...
🇮🇩🇮🇩❤️🇮🇩🇮🇩
Hi Alina, saw your video n booked the photography tour n it was amazing. Thank you.
Aw I’m so happy to hear that! 🙂
It looks really interesting. Would love to do the volcano hike. 👍😊
Untuk melihat semua keindahan Indoneisa..tidak cukup 1 tahun untuk berkeliling dari sabang sampai merauke..
Indonesia memiliki 17 ribu pulau..
Semoga Alina betah di Indonesia .
Indoneisa Amazing country
Indonesia itu komplit mulai dari gunung, pantai, air terjun, padang pasir, sampe salju pun ada dan yang menarik bagi sebagian turis adalah budayanya karena setiap daerah punya keunikan masing²
Just a quick note. C is read like Ch.
So Canggu [read: Changgu], Nasi Campur [read: Nasi Champur], Campuhan [read: Champuhan]
In case you need to ask lokal people so that they know what you mean 😁
Stay safe and enjoy your trip!
Your trip very nice Alina 👏🙏🏻❤️
I go to Bali very often. I suggest strongly you eat at Bebek Bengil (Dirty Duck) in Ubud and have the crispy duck. Famous and Fabulous.

Thanks for sharing. FYI, campur is pronounced "Champur". It means "mixed". I agree, it is one of the best Indonesian meals.

Hi Alina,
thank You for sharing the Ubud experience!
Regarding the red skin due to sunburn, you could try to mitigate by another “green breakfast” which was my impression of the recommended Mexican breakfast. 🙂 Just joking.
Best Regards, Ralf

HI Alina, I can't find Ubud Dream BnB. Can you share the link to the homestay? Thank you.
Hi where is the best place to book gate of heaven tour? are the temples and forest closed at new years?
شكرًا
Thank you so much!
I love u ..your channel
A lot of people said Canggu is their favourite place, however I have different view and Ubud is always the place to stay in Bali. Let's try the river experience in Ubud....you must try it
Masyarakat Bali sangat menjaga alamnya.
Mantap bos Q..
Is Ubud Dream the name of your guest house? How did you get that rate?
Yup. I got it on booking.com as a third tier member because I book so much so I guess it is about 10-20% cheaper for me than the average booker on there. Still a great deal though
Come to Palembang
