    This could be your problem. There is a good video about it but I cannot locate it . The fuel line between the on/off valve and your fuel filter could have a bunch of debris in it . Some have been modified with a quick drain in the fuel line and can be drained from the bottom of the fuselage . Mine has been modified. The fuel line actually goes down and back up 7 inches to the strainer . Perfect for dirt accumulation . This has happened more than once and should be an AD Note .

    That cause may explain my engine out landing in C-150 many years ago. In fact, I had another engine out in the same C-150 several weeks later. Never heard from the shop what actually caused these events. I know the feeling when the sound stops.
