I need to build another mono wing. I think I will emulate this and try and build one from scratch. Thanks a tonne by the way, for that wissle wing profile I found in an old forum thread. I used it recently and it worked very well indeed!
Another question ,the inboard and outboard ailerons are obviously at different angles due to the wing dihedral ,they are just tape joined at the point where the angle changes .Thank you for your video.I did try just cutting inboard ailerons on the wing but had to have large amount of reflex just so it would not nose dive straight in….Cheers
Thank you for the video. Most lidl builds I have watched flatten or try to flatten out the dihedral.Yours still seems to have dihedral ,if I am seeing correctly is there a reason for that ….Cheers
Looks like a fun project to make with the kids.

Nice simple build 👍

You could glue the outboard in a bit up possion then it would do it, :)
@@SpeedsterDEN Thank you 😊

I don't flatten the wing, I think the dihedral is the Lidl gliders DNA and they fly pretty good with it :)
Nice easy to follow build.
What's a typical final flight weight with/out the 80g ballast?
240 gram AUW and 320 with Extra ballast 😀
Nice... I Can't find it here in Italy's Lidl... Never saw it on sale
Normally the first batch come in May. If you sub, then I will give a hint when I know more, or follow the Lidl gliders groups on Facebook
@@SpeedsterDEN you mean subscribe to your channel? I'm sure I subscribed more than ten years ago!!! LoL
why did you add so much lead to your glider? is lightweight not good in that case?
They need extra ballast when flying in strong wind, then it can fly in + 25 knots wind :)
@@SpeedsterDEN oh i didnt knew that. i always thought light weight is better for gliders.
@@aeQuator If It is a good aerodynamic glider, then It will just fly faster without much more sink 🤓
Ah!! Yea its a foamy... fly's great!! I made one of those like 30 years ago out of a store bought foamy. LOL It worked but it wasn't all that good.
