    Here's how to perform a proper lateral hurdle jump:
    Set up the Hurdle: Begin by setting up a hurdle or an obstacle at an appropriate height and distance. Start with a height and distance that challenge you but still allow for proper form and technique. Depending on equipment available, you can set up several hurdles rather than just one.
    Starting Position: Stand beside the hurdle with your feet shoulder-width apart, facing perpendicular to the hurdle. Keep your arms relaxed by your sides or slightly bent at the elbows for balance.
    Preparation: Bend your knees slightly, engage your core muscles, and maintain an athletic stance with your weight evenly distributed between both feet.
    Jump: Explode upward and laterally, pushing off the ground with both feet. Aim to clear the hurdle while keeping your body in a balanced and controlled position.
    Clear the Hurdle: While in mid-air, bring your knees up towards your chest, lifting your legs over the hurdle. Simultaneously, swing your arms upward to help generate momentum and maintain balance.
    Land: As you descend, prepare to land softly on the balls of your feet. Aim to land on the opposite side of the hurdle with control and stability. Maintain balance and control upon landing.
    Reset Position: After landing, quickly reset your position by stepping back or hopping back to the starting side of the hurdle. Prepare for the next jump.
    Repeat: Perform lateral hurdle jumps for the desired number of repetitions or within a specific time frame. Alternate the direction of the jumps, performing jumps from both sides of the hurdle.
