I'm sad about the duck. They are my fave thing on your channel for some reason. I can't believe how far you have come in four years! So inspiring! Love the drone shots. It really shows your progress!
I think you and your family are easier to relate to than most of the other homesteads simply because you don't have a lot of acreage. You show us how to make the most of what we have. Also, noteworthy is the ability of you and the Mrs. to explain something in a concise, understandable and articulate manner. Your chicken harvesting video last week is a perfect example.
Thank you. The drone shots really give a better view of the overall homestead. You all have come a long way, successfully, & I love learning from you. I also like how organized & neat you keep your property! Bless you all!
You 2have done an amazing job on what is considered a relatively small plot ...well done love your channel its simple to The point and you don't waffle 😂
We left the city and started a homestead on 3 acres. I have psoriasis and eating homegrown food helped me tremendously. Watching your videos helped me with my first batch of chickens we processed this year. You all have done so much over the years. Keep up the great work, thank you for sharing.
Looks amazing, y’all! Gardening is addicting, as are chickens... You are going to miss those pigs when they’re gone and will want some more soon. I miss having pigs in between our grow outs. My compost bin gets full so so quickly without my hogs.
a great tour, as your learning homesteading , you're learning great presentation. As an old codger I still learned from this vlog. You two are amazing !!!!
Great video!!! Inspiring to say the least. From Nova Scotia, Canada. We have been watching yourself and Justin's videos. My husband is a police officer, and close to retirement. We have been inspired by you both. We just purchased 10 acres of land for our retirement in three years and are going for it!!!!! Thanks for the vision!!!!! Amy and Bryan!!
This is so awesome to see! Great music, editing, backstory, pictures, and home video! Beautiful Homestead! Your hardwork is so commendable. Loving your channel!
I did the same thing!! I left cali to come to virginia ten years ago. My farm was 105 acres. Much has changed since then. Lots of animals and lots of learning beyond what I already knew.
I remember when I found you in your second year. You were just getting the greenhouse enclosed. The garden has grown by leaps and bounds. Each year you have gained more knowledge and have developed it into the lush, food producer it is.
Also, 1.5 acres looks huge! I just got 5 acres a couple months ago and for some reason yours looks bigger. Your channel is inspiring af. Having 5 acres is a bit daunting.
I'm from Torrance, and am looking to get away from this drought area. Your 1 1/2 acres looks a lot bigger and quite enough land to do everything that needs to be done. You guys are such an inspiration for me and this is quite doable..
wonder how many other Californians will follow you to NC ----give it a few years and you can sell and upgrade your homestead after the profit - but you've made such a nice place for yourself....respect to you Jason and Lorraine and Penelope.
Bet it feels great to see the aerial view of your accomplishments ! I can hardly wait to reclaim what used to be a very neat, organized productive garden!
You guys are doing great. Your homestead looks beautiful. So no more predators get your ducks you'll need to start ushering them into their coop at night after a week they should learn to go in on their own.
Loved all of the cross country pics!! Homestead is growing and looking good!! Of all of the UA-cam channels...y'all are my favorite!! Thanks for always keeping it family friendly!!
Es hermosisisimo lugar es mi sueño tener un lugar así los admiro mucho por su gran trabajo y los felicito gracias por compartir esa belleza donde viven Dios les llene de bendiciones un fuerte abrazo desde Lincoln Park Michigan
It is fantastic how you have grown your homestead in 4 years! So inspiring! I know there will be more growth at the years to on! Blessings on your journey!
You guys have came so far! Your homestead looks absolutely awesome! Loraine- I recently learned that you should snip the tops off your onions at about 10 weeks so that they don’t bend over which effects the growth of the onion bulb. And I took the green tops and dried them then ground them for onion powder. So easy to do and it was a substantial yield..and tastes great too! Blessings from a western NC neighbor🙏🏻💖
Wow there is some new stuff in this vid I have never seen before!! Thank you for this. My goodness Penelope has grown sooo much in that four years. So sorry to hear about your duck........ I have been through this sort of thing before when foxes got ALL my chickens, ducks and pea hens TWICE!!
You guys are going to need a new bigger freezers😁👍 It's awesome watching you guys grow the homestead. You didnt show use a shed work area... which you do need a bigger one😁 Have a good evening 🌻🌻🌻
You are an inspiration to all who watch. It’s good to see that you don’t need lots of acres to homestead! You are living the dream for many of us who are too old to start over. ♥️👍🙏😎🐝🌻☀️
A very late welcome to the area! It's a beautiful place to be! You've got a great setup. We just started gardening this year after moving to a property with more acreage. Learning lots of things already!
I love the tour and the garden looks great. Is it better to grow in the ground or raised beds? Also I live in SC but we have shared land in The mountains of NC with my in laws. also where we have animals and a garden. I would love to met y’all one day and see how your daily activity is in person. I’m new to this myself.
Hi, my name is Brenda and I live in Jacksonville, NC. We love the mountains and visit there. You made a great choice where to live. It is a beautiful area. I really enjoy your videos and especially the brothers.
It's beautiful. You have the perfect size acreage and what you've done with it is simply excellent. Simple, do-able, happy & cheerful and oh - clean and organized. :-) There is beauty in order, and your place is beautiful. The essence of your family of 3 is manifested in your homestead. It looks easy and relaxing. I'm very inspired to follow your example.
@@SowtheLand Yes - I'm sure it is not easy. I think what I was trying to convey is the ease and openness of your attitude in doing farm work. It's laborious, I'm sure, but it is the kind of hard work that makes one happy & grateful.
It is amazing the progress you have made this year. Lots of new initiatives. I love the fact you keep it real, simple and low budget. Love the aerial shots showing the chicken tractors progress. Love the information you share with others.
You are VERY inspiring! No question there. Jason and Lorraine, you are a great team and God is blessing your efforts. I'm sure all of the fresh organic food is bring health and wholeness to you all. I have one question. How did a predator get to a duck? Was the electric fence not working? What type of predator do you think it was?
G/day that was a nice look around of you Homestead, sorry about your Duck will have to get some more. Hope you & your family have lots of goodies from your Garden :-)
