  • Plowing 16k sq ft concrete driveway with 8ft hydraulic articulating blade with my 2016 Bobcat Toolcat 5600. Plow is skid steer quick attach with a spring tripping blade "TMG Industrial SP-240", any deeper and you'd want a snow blower. I have a ~1200 ft x 10ft straight then a circle driveway and the garage approach pad to clear. I take footage inside the cab and outside with my DJI Mavic Air 2 drone. Cab has AC/Heat/Radio and 2 seats. This thing is awesome and I love it! I used my gopro hero9 and dji mavic air 2 drone for footage.

I’m not sure why but I could watch you plow snow with the Toolcat all day.

I put grip right studs in my tires ,the smaller size I did two ice storms absolutely incredible. Very little scratching only if you spun the tires which can totally be avoided but sometimes it’s fun to go for it.

I got winter tires on mine 12 month per year now. I got 5.5 months of snow a year but even in summer when it’s wet is super good.

That’s exactly where my spinner knob ended up three points of contact ,I tried the one on the circumference, and it just kept flipping around the wheel

Heavy hitch makes a receiver holder for John Deere plate weights ,the smaller size 8 in total and I can put it together myself because it’s one piece at a time ,let it Snow

Looks like the all-wheel steer tends to oversteer when going fast on a long driveway? But the all-wheelsteer appears super handy for turning. Do you find a need to take it out of all-wheel mode for the long straight sections or not?

This was a bigger snow than I have to typically tackle and there were a few times I turned the rear steer off for the reason you state. You can do it on the fly and switch between 2 and 4 wheel steer at the flip of a switch. Typically even for 17mph top speed driving I leave it in 4ws though.

you need some winter tires on that and not skid steer tires and some weight in the back will go a long way.

No I think Nate needs a lesson or 2 on how to plow correctly, so when the state plow vehicle Plows the road all that snow is going right back on your driveway lol

Thanks for watching John. The county plows around here and what you can't see in the video is that the elevation to the right leaving my house (where the generic "how to plow at the road" tells you to pile the snow) is a hill. To the left (where the plow truck comes from) is sloping down and has a ditch. So even though it seems opposite of what is correct its actually the best way for me to stack the snow and i have yet to get a big pile of snow in front of my driveway after the plow truck runs by. In fact this time I actually plowed the dirt road 1/4 mile to the paved one! Take care.
