The fact that this SCOTUS even took up this case is extremely disturbing!!
I'm glad they did because now everybody knows no one, including a former president, is immune to prosecution. How do anyone know what happens? This has never happen before and we, the American citizens, need to know if a former or current president is immune for illegal actions while in office.

What is troubling is that SCOTUS framed the legal question to be decided by them in a way that will necessitate the issue to be re-litigated piece by piece, situation by situation. SCOTUS didn't even want to listen to the facts of the case before them during oral arguments! They should have denied to hear the case outright if they didn't intend on deciding the specific facts before them! One can only hope they do the right thing!✌

The law is subject more to precedents than to the constitution, and previous administrations had already set those precedents.

Moreover, the supreme court should be impeached. This entire process is superfluous. It should have never happened.

Trump's lawyers didn't decide this. Trump thought he was above the law and he told his lawyers to argue that. It was Trump's crazy idea.
They could have said no at any time.
And if his lawyers had had a brain they would have explained to him that that is not how the way things go.
