I would like that the devs could implement Sinden Lightgun in Batocera. Ive been using it with Retropie and it beats all kinds of other lightgun systems like the wii method etc. I've done it all, but nothing beats this Sinden Lightgun..., since Batocera beats Retropie in all aspects possible.. it is just missing the implementation of the Sinden Lightgun. I know we are hundreds wanting that. If we check the Sinden Lightgun sales, they are of the chart.

@@BatoceraNation it seems there needs to be installed a script that can run in the background on demand. for example: if i want to play a normal game, i just run the game, but if i want to play a shooter, i must select the script (that it's on the "ports" list) and run it pressing A. Its simply selecting it like a game, nothing will happen...we just know that the script is running now. Then we open the shooter game and voila.. the sinden lightgun is configured to be the principal "gamepad" of the game. Those games, must use a border/bezel/overlay. the sinden Lightgun has itself a FHD camera that is always searching for the border and triangulates the position. There's no apparent lag that anoys us...(believe me, as a musician that works full time with audio, i know very well a difference of 5ms of lag). So... its perfect? no... but its the best system i know of until now to LCDs.
Is there a way to get two players? I just got all the stuff and dont see a way to do it. The only way i can get the wii mote’s camera to work is with mode 2 on the DolphinBar, and its manual says only one wii mote will connect in that mode. The other thing is i can only get the curser to work if i go into setting and set my mouse to be the wii mote. Which is not something you had to do. All I want is 2 players! Lol

I can't even buy one since it's never in stock along with the other expensive options out there But if you could get Batocera to recognize your Sinden light gun, the rest of this tutorial should work. There might be a tutorial for Sinden for Retropie on UA-cam. If so, it should be similar for Batocera. Again, the rest of this tutorial should apply for your Sinden gun once it's set or recognized in Batocera.
I was wondering, with that bar, how do you get the second and third devices to connect. I have 4, but they all connect to the bar singular p1, but when I try to connect the 2nd or 3rd one, it just blinks while hitting sync and never connecting for p2 or p3

Do you have an arcade cabinet system? If so, I can't test it out since I don't have one. Your best bet is to ask others who have one at the official Batocera.org forums or on their Discover Server.
For the NAOMI, Im able to get the crosshair to move with my WiiMote, but no action buttons work. They are still on the buttons on the control panel. Ive only tried it with HOTD2.

In mame I turned the auto center option off but still my cursor keeps going to middle if I don’t input with my controller. Anybody know how I can fix this?
can you help, I have fully set up as you have shown but it doesn't pan the full screen of the games, some are just in top left nd others are bound to a square in the middle of the screen so i can't shoot all around the screnn
@@BatoceraNation yes the games work but the cross hair isn't covering the full game, it is either just in the top left corner on a small square (it won't move passed a quarter of the screen) and some only work in a square in the middle of the screen. I am using official wii controller with dolphin bar.

For some reason, every tutorial I have seen uses MAME for arcade games, but MAME hasnt been the default for any retropi/batcera image that I have seen for a while (if ever?). And sadly, the version of Batocera I have doesnt let me switch from Final Burn Neo to MAME by holding the A button during loading. Anyone have any tips on how to switch the games I want to play over to MAME from Final Burn Neo? (assuming I cant use the wiimote with Final Burn Neo as I have yet to see any video showing such.) thanks to anyone who can help :)
One of the developers is working on a solution for Batocera 35. He's working on something that is going to make it a breeze to setup and with much better accuracy than the current WiiMote setup. I will be showcasing this soon.
At the moment, I haven't tried any other sensor so that I can't vouch for them . I have ordered another type of sensor and will try it out next week. Might have a follow-up video.

Thanks for doing this, I'm going to need to get a USB extension cable for my sensor bar to mount it on top of my TV (had it on the bottom but I did notice it was not as accurate as I liked on my Wii Games so maybe it was just the position) but looking forward to trying this.
just wanna give you a heads up to mention in Part 2. For Wii Remotes connecting to Batocera, they will never reconnect if you connect them to a Wii or Wii U before connecting to batocera. The only way to fix this is to either upgrade then downgrade or downgrade then upgrade. If you want to keep permanently using the same wii remote on batocera, never let it connect to a wii or wii u. this also applies to controllers set in x-input connecting to other systems.
The video is already done for Part 2 and uploaded to UA-cam. However, I was not aware of this. Thanks for letting me know in case others run into problems.

Im having trouble configuring the Light gun as if it was the Menacer to play in Sega Megadrive games. Any idea if there is a limitation on playing these games on Batocera?
Was able to figure this out!... Had to setup "Controller 2 TYPE" as Menacer on the ADVACE GAME SETTINGS before launching the game in Batocera, and then within the game set Control Port 2 to MENACER.. and that did the trick
Great video! I tried it with area 51 mame game, the trigger works but I am having troubling reloading (shooting off-screen). It seem to be very hard to move the shooting pointer out of the screen and "shot". Any recommendation to fix this? Perhaps, assigning one of the button on the wiimote as "reload". Is this possible? I also have trouble playing Time Crisis, the game loads but it just remain behind the box as I don't know how to move out ("step the paddle"). Any advice?
it seems like Saturn, you had better aiming ability... is that an option that can be tweaked? like sensitivity of the motion or something? Like Area51 was more all over the place lol
You might have to try that bar. This doesn't work for 2 guns for 2 player games for all the emulators except for the Wii Light Gun games. However, there might be a solution for 2 guns for 2 player games for the rest of the emulators I ordered a couple of things and I will test it out next week to see if it works. If it does, I will have a follow-up tutorial.

I believe you can. I haven't tried it out. Just connect the second one like you do the first one.

what about 2 player lightgun games?
It should work with the Wii motes. You can set up up to 4 Wii motes.

Is there an alternative sensor bar that is decent for those of us that don't have a cheap shipping option on Amazon?

Please, make a video showing how to run games from a nas or from an shared folder on windows and Linux . The batocera wiki is a bit confusing

Mine works i just resync it to the dolphinbar,if not i boot into windows then sync it up thru dolphin exit and boot batocera

It's so sensitive that the mere act of you pulling the trigger sends the crosshair jumping several inches in random directions. Has that been fixed?
