I have had the NB 442s and Mizunos MIJ, and hands down, the NB 442s are by far the most accommodating, they are just extremely good for wide feet people. It took me some time to get used to the Mizunos. the quality is better sure, the leather is super soft but it does take some time to break in and the soleplate is a bit narrow. Surprisingly, the neo 4 are very accommodating as well despite being a bit narrow, they do adapt to the foot a bit quicker than the morelia II in my experience. I do have very wide feet.
I have very wide feet. Tested about 15 pairs this year. Ended up buying Puma Kings in a half size up. Only boots I could find that came close to being wide enough, and weren’t a ridiculous colour
New balance probably the only brand that has wide options. And with puma and adidas, they are both made by two brothers which pretty much going to be the same types of shoes. Have found both brand have generally wider shoes.
Nice video, you explained it in a very good way but sory - Puma Future, Nike Tiempo and Adidas Predator AREN'T wide. If you feel comfortable in one of these models, it means you don't have wide feet. There is only one wide football boot on the market - NB 442 W. From my experience I can also recommend you Joma Topflex which is made of leather, quite wide and stretches nicely. It's sad for me that Adidas, Nike and Puma can't make wide shoes.
Will forever miss Pumas evopower line. the ones that released in 2015 were my favourite ones. Great for wide feet and comfortable as well. Got two pairs and dont want to break them
I always prefer the Adidas Copa Mundials for their classic look. Wish they make their insoles removable so I can put mine in, for my mild bunions not getting worse, and the longevity of the boots
The old Messi F50 fit to well in my feet, but is no more available. The mercurials 2013 models too... I miss then, now no one model fit in my feets so good
I hope these brands not only take flat/wide feet into consideration going forward (more so then they have already done) but also expanding the toe box. I’ve seen injuries from narrow toe boxes caused by many cleats especially Nike which are just unacceptable when paying that much money for some boots. Not only would it relieve that part of the foot but research shows that expanded toes for feet allow for a better performance not just in football but in virtually all sports and aspects of life. Instead we have these squished toes on most modern day athletes which really limits their mobility’s (and especially balance)
Yes 100% agree, the toebox shapes in football boots are on the whole absurd and can be badly damaging to feet. The new balance 442 pro wide works really well for me because there is no stitching around the rim of the toe box, so the foot can push out a bit and shape with the kangaroo leather. And in general it has a wide rounder toebox
I have both the furons and tekela laceless....both are fantastic, both my kids wear furons and tekelas, and my nephew wears 442's ....New balance in this fam
i'm a size 10.5 us 5e wide foot, the best for wide feet by far is new balance 442 2e wide pro fg. I tried Mizuno Monarcide Super Wide KL (supposedly 4e) and it still isn't close to the comfort of the newbalance 442. This is my view having tried pretty much every model, adidas predator (good toebox, midfoot too tight), gloro, copa mundial (if anyone recommends copa mundial for wide feet call them out for their bullshit- one of the worst for wide feet!), puma 5.1/6.1, nike tiempo, premier, diadora brasil. Someone below mentioned Mizuno monarcida sw kl, and these almost worked for me, but the toebox is lower/smaller, and the stitch pattern too restricting for very wide feet. Eventually they caused bad toe bruising so I had to find something else, and since I found new balance 442 2e, I never have foot problems/damage which has been a huge satisfaction and relief. I will buy this model for as long as they are made.
Tekela and Furon both have narrow toe box. almost all the youtubers and testers recommend half a size up. the midfoot is perfect but the toe box is actually more narrow than adidas preds and crazyfast. Mizunos tbh are the most wide for all their models including the alpha elites. I've tested them all and that's my experience.
I love my Mizuno Morelia Neo Beta MIJ. Just got Furon Pro V7+ (half size up) but still tight in mid foot. I couldn’t even breathe on Adidas Elite Crazyfast+ and the new 2024 F50.
For myself I am so surprised how the new Puma King fits for me as my feet are narrower than most people, and the toe box is not that bad, btw great review!
I have super wide feet and just bought the nike phantom gx2. They fit perfectly and are extremely good. If you have wide feet a gx2 will solve your issue!
It's crazy that the previous version Kings and the KL Ones (rip) were the best fitting boots for me and now I can't even get my feet into Pumas. Don't even have wide feet marked at D width. Been on gloros since returning to the sport, definitely a plus that they aren't super pricy as I have to buy at MSRP now 😅
The new balance i got after 2 pair of 90-130 dollar cleats and they the best cleats ive ever had. Never thought to get wide cleats when the pain was from squeezing the middle part of my feet always just tried to break them in an 30/40 min in my feet are drying
your videos are a life saver . I almost gave up on finding my self the correct boots for my wide toe until I saw your video . My question is which boot has a wider/bigger toe box area ? The copa gloro or the copa mundial ? And which is more heavier ? Its been a hassle 😢therefore your help would be much appreciated . ❤🙏🏼
I want to get a pair of New balance boots because I’ve been more into “barefoot” health and that’s the only brand that offers a wide variation of their boots. You said the Furon V7 Pro was really wide in the toe box, was that in the standard version or the wide version? Also would you think if I got a wide version having normal width in the midfoot is a bad idea(for blisters)
I’m wearing: Superfly 9 Elite FG in size 10 Vapor 15 Elite SG in size 10.5 I got the FG true to size first then ordered the SG version a while later in the same size. The SG ones fit much smaller and the stud pressure(on the floor at home) was really noticeably in the wrong places on my foot. Exchanged them for a half size up and the 10.5 SG fit perfectly like the 10 in FG. Think this could be an interesting point in a future video if anyone else has similar experiences…
hello, thanks for the review - I got mega wide feet. No adidas predators can fit me (even after i went 2 sizes up) Nike mercurials as well, don't fit me. Nike Tempo are too wide but were the most comfy. Actually the Puma Ultra fit me the best. Yes they are slightly snug to begin with on the upper, you break into that after the 1st game and they work perfectly for me - currently on my 3rd pair in 4 years. Durability isn't great as the glue holding the boot to the sole is not great and have to reglue.
Nobody mentions the high arch in the Mizuno's. Whilst the upper is comfortable the high arch makes it very painful for those with flat feet. New balance have their sizing all messed up. The 2024 Tekela v4+ has a slimmer and lower toebox and even going 2 sizes up compared to the 2023 tekela's my toes were having the life squeezed out of them. I'd say Adidas have the best fit overall for wide feet. Shame they don't have a proper AG plate
What would you recommend in terms of a football boot, for someone who has a leg brace. I have Cerebral palsy and I need a football boot that would fit a very wide foot. Something that is very wide not only in the toe box but also in the midfoot to heel
The wide variations of new balance boots are a great place to start. The 442 V2 Pro (Wide) is one of the widest boots I’ve tried on. You may also want to check out the company Natur Athletics.
Technically, Mizuno and Asics also offer wide feet version of their boots, but only for the takedown model like Monarcida Neo and DS Light Club. Mizuno also offers SW (superwide) version but thats very rare. Could only be found in Japan so far.
Have you bought the morelia ii and tried them out yourself? They will stretch and mold to your feet since they are made out of k leather. You could try something from adler or asics
If you can find them, the Puma Future Z 1.3 and 1.4 are great for wide feet. The elastic midfoot just hugs well, and the toe box stretches out in a day or two
how much wider are the predators compared to the mercurials, the mercurials fit my foot great but I’m interested in buying the new predators. I also have pretty narrow feet too.
I've been wearing the New Balance 442s in a standard width and loved them. I've got a high instep and slightly wider forefoot. Only issue I've had is the durability. Wearing on AG they've lasted less than a year. Any recommendations for another boot to try from anyone?
I've been a big fan of Adler recently. Great company out of Japan. You need to go a full size down, but they're amazing boots. Currently wearing the Horenso.

I have copa pure 2s and wide af feet. The laces never stay on no matter what adjustment is done. Worst purchase, poor decision, though India doesn't have much options anyway. All you'll find is people wearing fg boots on grass fields, AG and even turfs, no one gives a fuck 😂 and one is judged if they do. The brands don't even correctly name their products online, that's the level of neglect ( on official sites ). India doesn't even have that many natural grass grounds as there are AG turfs yet no brand provides an AG soul plate as a normal option, only customised.
Originally wore amazing leather Adidas f50 boots 10 years ago, then Adidas changed, downgrading their lineup, so I went with Nike a few years later. Mercurial superfly used to be just as amazing, if not, better. Nike changed. Superfly 9 are now a downgrade to the lineup, mediocre boots at best. So now what? My ex girlfriend also started our last conversation with, "Width Matters". I didn't know until now she meant football boots.

It’s the girth not the width that made her your ex
