I remember old school car batteries that needed water and cleaning of the electrodes. Petroleum jelly was applied to the connections to keep them clean and prevent shorting out. Haha! Thanks PF!

Those were lead acid batteries , used on trains , trucks and automobiles , plus as storage for stationary engines , Heavy with it to , and needing regular top ups of water , my folks had a Canadian assembled Chevrolet , with low mileage and original paint and coach work .
Some folks I know , still use them for their solar panels and wind turbines , due to the cost of putting in mains electricity from the end of the present line - in excess of $ NZ , 12 , 000 in 1980 , i'd hate to think how much to get hooked now .

Robert Emhardt was an instresting charactor actor. He was on almost every t.v show in the 50s. From Andy Griffith, Hitchcock, to Parry Mason and more.Thank you for these Suspense Theater episodes.

I love those old school character actors like Robert Emhardt-- his face is more recognizable than many of the big names of that era, but I had to struggle to remember his name. Such talent!
