The blue and the gray are so pretty together. It came out just gorgeous.
yes, Blue and gray make such a classy combination, don't they?
#replay. Great job, love this effect
WOW! Fantastic!
Many thanks!
This is jaw dropping beautiful
Beautifully done! It looks fabulous!! Bravo Mary!!
Wow!
Lovely 🥰
Thanks 🤗
So where the camera dropped off around 17:18 was the exact part I was most interested in. You are saying that the Antiquing Glaze essentially wears away the gesso and milk paint layer to expose the gilt layer? I am working with a pre-gilt mirror but want to ensure I can reveal enough of the gilt layer for my project. Thank you!! And this is a gorgeous result!! Thank you for posting it here!!
Absolutely beautiful and old world looking.
Mary, You were so easy to follow and even though I thought I've acquired experience using the silver leaf guilding, you've taught me so much in by watching your methods I watched this twice to make sure I caught all the steps and instruction tips.
Glad it was helpful!
I found it Mary! It turned out so beautifully! Thank you again for your help!
Great job!
You're a good instructor.

Hi from Murfreesboro Tennessee
Gorgeous mirror, would love more videos like this for sure. I can never tell if the cracked patina ever does anything. I never see small crackling. I'm doing nesting trays and no cracking has occurred. Watching this and waiting for them to dry before the antiquing glaze is added.
More to come!
So very beautiful. I’m curious to know if I could apply any of these finishes to restore an old metal bed frame?
Yes, you definitely can!
I know that it's the way everyone who uses Amy Howard does it, but why dark wax the high points as opposed to the low points?
This is so stunning! Did you add the molds? I have been wanting to do a trumeau mirror. I am definitely going to save for later :)

Could you do this and tarnish the silver? If so would you use tarnish after applying the silver or after you have applied gesso and milk paint and antiqued it?
I notice you make the milk paint a little thicker it not too watery(which I had a problem with)
