Chris Tran is easily the most under appreciated contributor to speedcubing as a whole. Without him cubes look totally different and now he’s rarely discussed
With this many magnets you better don’t bring it to the kitchen or near your toolbox. Also be careful when putting it in your pocket- it might pin you against a car if you come too close 😉
The v9 has the best auto allignment, it can do it from any angle, and thats also what he showed in the video, but than for the price, he took the gan 14 which is worse and twice the price.

they dont actually put all the different positions of all the magnets in a single cube though, most magnets ever i think is probably 132 (moretry tianma maglev)

Chris Tran really contributed a lot to cubing and it was kinda sad to see him leave TheCubicle but if he enjoys his job its alright I guess
his inventions with the angstrom lubes are no less than his innovations in cube hardware! he basically pulled all the strings in the background

I once thought about magnets in the edge pieces repelling core magnets to make turning faster and smoother and Gan did it 1.5 years later

The first cube puzzle from the 1950s was a 2x2 held together only by magnets. I'm not sure it was ever manufactured though.
