Fun detail: homer is a historic character that lived during the ancient greece. He is the author of the lliad and the odyssey. Those books explain the whole aftermath of the Trojan war.
So basically Hades 1 and 2 are technically homer’s tales
And also the sirens bossfight is a direct reference to the odyssey. odysseus, on his long boat trip to Greece. Got caught up by mermaids. Trying to trick him to jump out of his boat and drown.

My best guess for avoiding the polymorph in the first boss fight would be run the orb into her or one of her minions which she summons. Knowing the hades style of dev there would be some sort of joke or something. Note I have not yet played the game (waiting for the full release) so I have no literal idea if it would actually work lol.
I am mainly consuming the story through you at the moment so I hope you keep up the episodes the story in these games are always great.
