The only thing they were really concerned about was the plane blowing up. Would've cost way more than just 500k and the life of each person in there. Sad truth.
Damage control causes more financial strain then the payout. They weren't worried about plane costs. That's why they have insurance.

Nah, ppl got a good look at DB Cooper or Dan Cooper, as he actually called himself, the DB was a misreporting by reporters at the time, yet somehow it stuck. Anyway, that nose and chin wouldnt have been hidden by the glasses, and by all descriptions there was nothing particular to note about Cooper. Witnesses would definitely have noticed a guy with THAT face.

Apparently, Australian cops at the time were super crooked, so they probably found all the money in that wall, decided to pocket some, then claim they only found a quarter million. Occam's razor and all that.

$500,000 in 1971 equates to around $5.8 million today.

Another fascinating story and one that I don't remember at all but then I was in school at the time...how sad for Billy's family that they'll never know what happened but I believe Macari killed him and I think he killed his brother as well...way too coincidental in both case's and to top that coincidence off Macari committed suicide 😡😡😡 taking what he knew to the grave...very sad this one though it start's as almost comical until we learned how evil Macari was...

You'd think if there was a bomb, it would have discharged on ascent.
apparently the bomb was set on a DESCENT charge, but that has me asking (still watching the video) how could the guy disable it once the ransom was paid?? It's on a plane abouve 30 thou. on it's way to HK. We didn't have digital control on ANYTHING in those days.
Not sorry to know that he died but it is tragic that he committed so many Evil things during his Life and people are left Suffering. I hope that the truth and William will be found one day.
