    👍👍👍 Hello, I've made some Arduino electronics for our slot car track: lap counter with special functions, measuring speed and acceleration. We used it to measure on our track.
    Now my question to you and your community would be: What is the typical maximum speed and maximum acceleration in this class?

    • @slotcardude68
      @slotcardude68  26 днів тому +1

      @@electronics.unmessed hi, depends on the motor and the Voltage/Amps available! Can be up to 3 Amps per lane, even more with H0 cars or Dragster!!! There it can be up to 8 Amps per lane!!!!

      @@slotcardude68 OK, we have standard Carrera124 cars on our track. Some are tuned a little. We are driving with a maximum of 18 volts. I think, we are in the 3 to 5 amp class with that. We reached a maximum of 25 km/h and a little over 3 g, or 30 m/s^2. Does anyone have any values for comparison?

      @slotcardude68 there is a wood track in Riga motor museum but I don't know if it's used and they only race those silly super fast cars with the undetailed bodies ...not something I would be interested in at all and over 3 hours away driving non stop ✋️

    • @Scale_Slotcars_Latvia

      @slotcardude68 there isn't a tradition of racing cars of the type we are into in Latvia .we have a few wood tracks in colleges which are firstly used for educational purposes . I've never heard of anything but very unrealistic fast cars being used on them . If you check the page Baltic championship you will see what's raced. I rekon it goes back to soviet times when you couldn't buy the slot cars we love .And you still can't buy 132 slotcars in latvia 😪

  • @SlotCar2021

    That rolling road is great, where can you buy them from? This looks good for tyre conditioning too, get heat in tyres then apply oil and keep doing that. I think I am going to add more weight to my cars, do you find you have to turn the brakes up because of the weight Nico?

      I also agree that cars need to be set up on a wood track. Last time I trued my tyres and set a car up on Scalextric track. When I took it to the wood track I noticed the tyres weren't 100% true so plastic tracks are more forgiving.
