Hi Joe. This is my first comment in one of your clips. I did watch your clpis before, but I hesitated to do so. Because you are new to the Carrera system, I let you gain your own experiences. So, what is the difference? Well, those little measure differences can be left out. The only difenrence is, that Frankenslot, bot also Slotinvasion vary in the colors, depending on the liveries of the Guide-Keels. That is about it. This is the first tunning, I do to each of my Carrera Cars, mounting a FS G-K to them. This is already half of the rent for a better runninb behaviour.. Also onto my 124`s. I put in the FS G-K! I run mostly analog, but also digital and the advantage of those G-K`s are obvious, because the Carera G-K`s get thinner over time and that definetly causes a problem ith the rail changing. The FS and SI G-K`s don`t grind off like the Carrera ones do and keep the Cars way more safe in the curves. Deslotting is less the cause with both brands. Besides, I get a discount, when I order more than 4. Then, they only cost me 1,40 € for each one. Single, they would cost 1,59 €.They last very long, compared to the Carrera G-K`s. That is i. Nice to help you out last night on Marty`s live stream. If you got a question, you could send me an e-mail. I will send you one later, so you know my mail-address. Meanwhile, get on with it, eh 🙂Greetings from Bremen, Germany and kind regards, Bjoern 🙂
Thank you Bjoren! I Appreciate you adding to the discussion. Lots of good info there. I know that for Carrera cars the guide upgrades do some good but they really shine when you take out the magnets. I look forward to your email :)
Great video Joe Forgot about the slot invasion ones I use Frankenslot guides on my 132 and 124. The guides regardless of magnets or not, tone down the noise of the car and as it runs over the joins in the track that clicking noise 🍻Mal
As usual you're slot car channel is amazing bro! I'm getting ready to start live streaming each night at 6:00 p.m. pst. with different tracks and racing. There should be a lot of other UA-cam slot car creators there too, would love to see you there! Happy racing 🏎️
Thanks for the kind words Brother. So great that youre live streaming now. We need more content like that to help the hobby grow. Will check it out for sure!
I agree, I didn't see any real difference in them either. I do know that while I change out all of my Carrera cars to either one of these guides to make me feel I'm helping to get the most out of each car, my Ford GTs DEFINITELY NEED one of these guides over the standard Carrera. They all popped out of the slot at lane changers, and I don't think I've had any other car do that. That's what actually started me in equipping all my cars with these- I felt that the Ford GTs were then getting an advantage, and I couldn't allow that, Lol!
@@IrrerasCarrera the current Frankenslot version being sold is their 3 rd version and to add to the confusion, offered in several colors, yellow, blue, orange etc and after all 3 versions they still not perfected them after long and many feedbacks from the serious racers in their own country, well documented in the German and other European forums for years... More on this subject can be added. Full disclaimer: I own SlotInvasionUSA the North America partner of Slotinvasion Germany.
Thanks, Joe! I always wondered why do many Carrera owners switch out to these guides…I suppose it may be more critical for digital than analog. I’ve never had an issue with stock Carrera guides on my Artin track, but then I mostly run magnets…
I run magnets too. So it mostly helps with the switch lane to properly reset the moving guide. Along with reducing vibration and smoother travel. I will be experimenting with teflon tape to see if I can't get the cars to go faster.
Nice test of these, I think on a digital setup with X overs you may see a difference and maybe on a non magnet car but on a magnet car I don't think you will notice to much difference.
I have not found much of a difference between these 2 brands either, but both provide a slight improvement over the stock guides on every car I have tried them.

@@3roomsraceway612 Thanks dude. Much Appreciated. The noise is significantly lowered in some sections for sure
Nice one mate, it actually answered some of my questions 👍
Glad it helped! Thanks

Frankenslot does not produce the Slotinvasion guides!
Ha! All it takes is one car and then everybody gets an upgrade 😂 I feel you. It was the Aston Martin for me. Thanks for sharing!
@@oscarstorch Good to know, Thank you.

@@oscarstorch Thanks so much for this info. Is there an official document on the Frankesnslot guides and current version besides forums?

Hi there. Read my comment and you might get wiser in terms of running both systems ;-)
Good to know. Thanks🏁
No problem :)

That's where the guides really help. I totally agree. Thanks Steve!!
They are both better than the Carrera guide.

@@douglascook258 Absolutely agree :) thanks for watching
I use both in my 124 cars and see no difference Joe.
