@@danny_the_soulkatcher But luckily the end result of the comment is the same that Ukraine will not go easy just because Russia is now sending out it's green recruits.
I do see some hardships for Ukraine as a surge in amateur soldiers comes with a risk of a sudden increase in war crimes against the Ukrainian population under Russian control.
Russian professional soldiers may not be much better but training comes with a degree of discipline (even as low as they are for Russian soldiers) that the new recruits won't have, and added to this the new recruits will likely be eager to take out their frustrations/fear on anyone who is at their mercy.
May Ukraine turn the tables and crush Russia's invasion decisively.

Well tbh it was more using Social Media and that Western Media was so focused on the Southern Front around Kherson. It looked like on paper that Ukraine and the West had errored in talking so much about this and that while Ukraine was making gains on the Kherson Front, they were also slowing down in spots, encountering resistance and so on. Russia is just so ineffective that unless they are using Mass Numbers for Troops, Tanks, Artillery and so on they are struggling when encountering any form of organized Ukrainian Units.
Ukraine showed how Modern Day Intelligence, use of Propaganda and Social Media can effect the Battlefield as much or even more than the Troops, Guns, Tanks, Artillery and so on being used on the ground especially when fighting against an Enemy who might not have the best Military Structure (for Command, Supply and so on) during prolonged conflicts.

True or not, the rumor that Putin is in direct control of the military is bad news for them. Obviously if it's true, we can expect his pride to influence the commands to the troops in the future. But even if it's not true, it suggests that Putin himself is being blamed for the military's mistakes, rather than a scapegoat, which might suggest that his support is dwindling.

To be fair, I think it depends a bit more on what the specific order was. If Putin gave a general "do not retreat, fight!" order it is a lot more excusable, since in Kharkiv a big reason why Russia suffered such a major defeat is that no soldiers even bothered to hold the lines, and just ran away when a breakthrough happened without attempting to contest it.
But, if Putin's order was directed specifically at the troops in Lyman. Then yeah, no excuse, it was just a horrible tactical and strategic decision

I can't see the use of nuclear weapons - there are no reasonable targets:
-The whole reason for the war is to control Ukraine, it's land and it's resources. Why would they de-value their assumed prize? Not to mention as Ukraine is a BIG grain supplier, partial or total irradiation of the country would affect the availability of food in Russia just as much as everywhere else.
-Europe is out as well - those are potential customers for Russian oil and gas.
-America? Yeah, no. Nothing to gain and EVERYTHING to lose there.
Not to mention given what we've seen of the general state of the Russian military, how many nuclear weapons are REALLY in operable condition?
