Early 1990's DW DRUM Kit restoration

I acquired this vintage DW kit that was in pretty rough shape. I initially wanted to rewrap the kit but as the project moved forward I decided to sand down the Toms and clearcoat the shells.

matte finish by micro-sanding the varnish is the best! Does not show fingerprints.

Did you keep the wrap by chance? I have a dw kit in that wrap and I have a tom I would like to re wrap. Would you sell the laminate wrap?

What kind of stain (how many coats?) did u use before the poly?

I sanded the glue off and just did two coats of Minwax Waterbourne Polyurethane. I light;y sanded them with 220 grit between coats. I didn't use stain. It's the natural color of the wood. Cheers.
