You and Danny Harmon should get together sometime and collaborate on a video subject; Maybe something along the old ACL line. Something to think about, anyway.
What are those open cargo cars full of? Garbage or the stuff removed from the Ohio train explosion and derailment? Listen to all those railcars with the tremendous flat spots on the wheels. Where's the preventive maintenance program in this train company? Waiting for the railcars to derail before the wheel or axle gets replaced?
Today's video was a replay of several past train videos with an assortment of older locomotives. It was completely amazing that a deer can crawl under a moving train and escape unscathed on the other side. I've seen them crawl under a fence, but train!, Scary!!!!!
Thats a lot of old locomotives nice selection of them. You really t00k some great action shots of them. It is always such an enjoyment watching your videos i look for ward to them ,it is the next best thing to witnessing them for myself.
Awesome to catch that train rescue, Boss. Snow and night trains. How cool! And that deer survived. That was some kind of trickery on his/her part. No human coulda pulled that off. Alright!
What an awesome video from 'The Vault' this is. So many different engines and lashups from the master of train videography, Mike on Wide World of Trains on YouTubaah! Thanks Mike and have a great weekend mate! TGiF 🎉🍻😎🇺🇸🇦🇺
It was interesting to see the combination of AC and DC units going by the camera. One AC goes by in one direction, and a DC goes by in the other direction.
Wow, Wow, Wow...what an awesome collection of vintage power footage, WWOT! On a lesser note, but no less important, how about the Kershaw ballast regulator sitting atop that flatcar @1:07?? You know me and the CSX Locals, WWOT...that segment of the Geep-40 pair plowing snow "took the cake", my friend! That segment starting @14:11 as the little train disappeared in the snow, with a 10-second final blast of the horn, put me "into orbit"!! Love those compilations of 2nd-Generation power lashups...one after another!! The way it was...the way it (still) should be...👍👍
I love the video wide world of trains 🚂🚂 it was kind of cool to watch CSX 3195 become the lead locomotive I wonder what happened to that former lead locomotive Union Pacific 8450 it looked like something blew a hole in the side of the engine block
Ces images sont exceptionnelles et les trains semblent variés en différentes époques. These images are exceptional and the trains seem varied in different eras.
Time to teach what is and isn’t an explosion. The engine failed. Looks like there was a fire. Smoke at the minimum. Yet, it is intact. Thus, No explosion.
Um I don't know if anyone noticed this but if you go to this time stamp (8:45) in the video you will see a military backhoe with it's door wide open, like well the train was stopped and broken down someone had hopped on without the crew knowing and left the door wide open.
I applaud your energy and enthusiasm and your proficiency with your video editor. You do that pretty well and your train vids are always interesting. Respectfully, I would only recommend that a little more training in tripods, sound recording (unnatural sound to train going by in places) and composition. Shots that are perpendicular to the train going by is the worst possible angle. Zooming in and out, panning too fast, camera shake and such are a learned art and takes practice. There are UA-cam videos that would help you improve your technique. Realize that I am just trying to help you with your skills. Bless you for being out there in the weather getting the uncomfortable shots!
Thanks I appreciate your comments and your advice. I have gotten a lot better the last couple of years. most of the trains in this video are 10 to 15 years old Recorded with obviously older equipment
Love the video! Also by any chance am I able to use most / some of your clips to make a music video since I have been by accident without telling you sorry.
The yellow locomotive with the American flag on the side of it should have had the flag cleaned off. That's very disrespectful to the fallen and live military soldiers who see this train go by the public crossings throughout our country. The rest of the locomotive could stay dirty, but the American flag should always be clean. That's no different than replacing a torn or tattered American cloth flag on a flag pole. Shame on the train company to allow that flag decal to be that dirty.
