- Ford has the Raptor, HSV has the Sports Cat, Toyota has the Rugged X, and now Nissan has the N-Trek Warrior. Does the Navara tough truck stack up?

what everyone wants is a top of the model range that has more torque and power as a spec, all the add ons can be done by the customer at there own affordable price.
Easier said than done for an OEM unfortunately. Take the Sports Cat as a prime example. You can certainly add on aftermarket gear, but not likely for the same price Nissan is charging, or the level of integration with full warranty coverage. Bottom line, it's great to have this as another option for ute lovers. Cheers, Mal Flynn
I like the conceptual idea and the look of the vehicle, especially in the grey colour.
It cost only as much as a (lets be honest) rubbish Hilux sr5! Finally, a decent ute from Nissan
Great looking ute.
I love it.
0:08 Australia has gone ute crazy. It would bode well for Nissan to bring in the Nissan Titan
Titan is looking far more likely than not, and soon. Watch this space. Cheers, Mal Flynn
The Titan sells poorly in the US mainly because it’s far behind the competition for around the same price. The Titan might do better in a market where Nissan has less full size competition and better brand respect.
Bring the big brother, the titan
I really like this thing. But categorising this and the Hilux Ruggered as a Raptor competitor is not correct imo. The Raptor is the next step above. I suspect Ford will do something like this, like and FX4 Max or alike.
Could they design something like the ranger raptor.....
Nissan should spend more time in the navara
That would be cool, but would certainly bump the $ up big time. Cheers, Mal Flynn
Is this the Cybertruck?
No.
Ayee theres me at 2:25m
Onya Ronnoc! Great work! Thanks for watching, Mal Flynn
Hmm.. am I the only one thinking that the front-end of the truck is like having a bad teeth braces ? I can get standard Nissan ST-X for $45k and spend $10k in suspensions and bullbar, yet still cheaper than this...
Sure can, if all you're after is suspension and bullbar. Great to have the options. Cheers, Mal Flynn
Self mod immediately void your factory warranty.
Warrior? Really? As in ''Mitsubishi L200 WARRIOR"? I'm wondering how Nissan came up with the name... They are full of NEW ideas :))
The name is from the titan warrior concept back in 2016
3:04 What is a ‘tub tray’? This vehicle has a well body, or possibly just referred to as a tub, a tray is something entirely different. You would get kicked out of the pub for such a turn of phrase.
Doesn't sound like my kind of pub. I say 'tub tray', because 'tub' alone would be more ambiguous to the non-ute enthusiast viewer when delivered verbally. We have plenty of those and welcome all. Cheers, Mal Flynn
Get rid of the orange highlights and I'd buy one.I own a 2017 st-x Navara. Orange?Really Nissan WTF ?
Personally I think it looks good
3mm skid plate???? Wouldnt stop a twig
Daybood
It's Midsize or a Pickup not Ute. The Raptor sold here is crap, it's not the original American machine.
Potato potato. If we can't call these utes, what are we going to call a ute? Cheers, Mal Flynn
@@carsguide these were originally called ''Pickup" trucks, mid weight trucks in the rest of world. Truck is self explanatory, the word Ute takes a lot of thinking to suss out.
Another crime is calling a Pickup truck, or landcruiser a car which is a real bad habit buy Australian and other Europeans.
@@conmanumber1
"Truck is self explanatory"
Not really, when Australians hear the word "truck" they think of a Kenworth road train. We could easily claim that the Americans are the ones committing the "crime" by referring to 4X4s as trucks!
@@carsguide They are pickup trucks. The Raptor is only a North American market product, it nowhere near what the renamed Ranger is. It sux how vehicles get to be sold as North American models when they are not.
It is a ute as we know it. Not a pickup.
All show no go
Tough truck? Are we talking about the same vehicle. I've had one for a few years they are not tough at all. Diff lock stopped working, big turbo stopped working drivers window stopped working (twice). A poor investment. Fancy leather and a few trinkets does not make up for cheap components and poor build quality
A lot can change in a few years man. It's not your older Nav you currently drive. Clearly a lots changed
@@ToaMuzz lots have changed. The rear dampers the brake master cylinder the front and rear discs. The turbo charges have not the cheap sensors have not the rear diff actuator has not the drivers window has not. All the component electrical components that fail under 25k have not. Do you want me to go on?
@@TheLordsaviour oh yes please go on and continue to tell me everything that has broken in your life 😂
@@ToaMuzz nice reply really is. Look on the nav forum it's all there.
Oh and look at the x-trail site they share a lot of common parts, that also fail, oddly enough turbo chargers and the like.
