Impressive video, Monto Tech. Looking forward to your next upload! I clicked the thumbs up icon on your content. Keep up the fantastic work. Your detailed walkthrough of installing Fallout New Vegas on the Retroid Pocket 5 was incredibly helpful. Have you considered exploring how different graphics settings impact performance on various Snapdragon processors?
I too speak fluent ChatGPT! Check it out: “Thanks so much for the support and the thumbs up-it really means a lot! I’m thrilled you found the Fallout: New Vegas walkthrough for the Retroid Pocket 5 helpful. Great suggestion about exploring graphics settings and their impact on Snapdragon processors. That’s definitely something I’ve been considering, especially with how many handhelds and devices use those chips. Stay tuned, as I might dive into that in an upcoming video! Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to cover.”
Fascinating, not even steam deck can run these games it's impossible, the irony that an android device can run it better instead is wild! Nice tutorial 😊
Any tips on how to make the controls work? With the xbox controller selected everything works except the right thumb stick. And it isn't possible to map that thumb stick in the input controls.
What do you do for older games like Unreal Tournament in terms of setting up controllers? I noticed that these games don't detect xbox-style controllers. Any fix for those?
Yea that's always tough. Oblivion was the same way, it needed a mod to recognize external controllers. If there isn't a controller mod, then you can remap the controls within Winlator settings -> Input Controls -> make a new profile and rebind to the controller at the bottom
@MontoTechs yeah I discovered that too, however the right joystick won't map to the mouselook. It only lets me map one axis at a time, not every direction separately. This only results in me being able to look left/right and not up/down, and the stick is SUPER sensitive, to the point where if I touch it, the player spins 360 like 10 times.
Have you tried Skyrim on this? I can't quite get the performance to be where I want but it's so close I feel like I'm a setting or two away from making it work
Yes totally! This seems to be exactly what you're looking for: www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51664 I haven't tried using any mods yet but I've done some Winlator modding with Oblivion. Apparently NV is a little trickier to install mods, but it might be worth trying at some point to fix those bugs
I haven’t ran any Windows battery testing, but from my general testing, the RP Mini got 3hrs battery life in a full throttle stress test (which is pretty impressive). Haven’t tested on RP5 but I’d estimate around the same 3-3.5hrs battery life in Windows emulation.
I’d imagine battery life might vary a bit game to game. But Windows gaming emulation is pretty intensive, so I’d estimate you’re looking at 3-5hrs battery life range
Great tutorial, I will have to try it soon. Have you noticed any difference between winlator and the amazon Luna version? I have pretty good WiFi so I’m wondering if streaming this particular game might be better.
I haven’t tried Luna game streaming, but I’ve tried playing Ghostunner 2 on GeForce Now and it was really good. Very minimal lag/latency and I’m pretty sensitive to that stuff. If you have solid WiFi, Luna should be a pretty great experience (as long as amazon’s servers are good)
It’s starts to crash like a minute in the gameplay. It would run smooth but then it would just crash. Idk if I should change the preset but yeah PLS do a test on the Odin 2.
I don’t have Game Pass, but I’ve tried GeForce Now and it’s really solid. Played Ghostunner 2 demo with super low latency. The wifi chip is great for game streaming. I’ve also done some local Moonlight streaming with no man’s sky which has been awesome too
I’ve actually tried this and had mixed results. Sometimes Bethesda games wouldn’t recognize as installed - the launcher would say “Install” instead of “Play” at the top. Maybe I’m installing them wrong? But could also be a problem with these bethesda games specifically
@@MontoTechs thanks for the reply and your video. Once i beat ufo 50 im going to try this. If you want to install that game you can just drag over the exe and use the same environmental variables. Id also suggest putting it below 720p.
I was actually thinking about this but then I got the switch version in Sudachi. Much easier to get running/playing. But I might try to run skyrim in Winlator soon.
@@MontoTechs skyrim on NS emulators has loads of issue, lighting issue in dungeons, 30fps cap, crash due to memory overflow On winlator it is much better, you can get 40-60 fps on 1080p and way less memory issue I would say if you have a 8gen2 or better CPU and 12GB or more mem, switch version is better
I'm running the redmagic 8 gen 3 leading and I've tried sudachi and I've had zero luck getting it to work, what set up did you use and driver, any help is so appreciated @@MontoTechs
Thank you I’ve have been playing fallout new Vegas 2 days straight now I freaking love you!!!
great tutorial, loved all the b-roll shots here as well looking CLEAN
Ayy thanks king!! Trying to jujj it up, give it some jenesaisquoi

I have fallout 4 and Skyrim legendary edition working perfectly
Dude that’s sick. What version + did you tweak any settings? I heard Version 7.13 glibc Frost has great performance
You're gonna be huge, bro. Keep it up!
Thank you bro. Really appreciate it, just gonna keep grinding 🤘
the screen tearing had an effect on all my games. this video helped, thanks!
Awesome!! I was hoping other people had this problem too. So glad it helped dude
I'm playing Skyrim LE with SKSE running with Mods. It's so surreal.
Any tips on how to make the controls work? With the xbox controller selected everything works except the right thumb stick. And it isn't possible to map that thumb stick in the input controls.
Please can you tell me how to map controls. Im really struggling to play Far Cry as I can't get the controls mapped. Many thanks.
Excellent tutorial. Thanks brother! 🎮✌🏻
Thank you bro!! Great content btw🔥
I love First Person Ted Talk Hands- even when blurred.
Thank you 😎 I was hoping it wouldn’t be too distracting

it would be cool to add a pack of mods that fixed bugs and maintain vainilla the game, because new vegas is a buggy experience.

How long does the battery last playing windows games (does it vary a lot from game to game?) on both the 5 and mini?

Does anyone else’s fps tank extremely hard during combat?(New Vegas)
Would this also work for the Odin 2? Because I can play New Vegas but it’s still has some stutters. It’s playable though. Just not perfect.
Yes. I play it on my Odin 2 using winlator at 30+ fps and sometimes it stalls. Let me know if you're interested in my settings
Please tell me your settings because I tried these settings and it’s crashing
When does it crash for you? I have an Odin 2 Mini I’ll test it out on tonight

Era PC Gaming sudah berakhir
Ooooo I need to try this. Great tutorial thank you.
Thanks for watching!! Definitely worth checking out. Winlator is insane
Is there a reason why you install it in winlator rather than just drag over the exe? Most games work this way and save a ton of time and space.

The production of this video is WAYYYY too high for 977 subs. Make it 978.
Thank you bro!! 🐐🐐🐐
Lmao. Just thought of playing New Vegas on the RP5. UA-cam it, and a video was released today.

Just buy steam deck lol
Way different devices, we're basically running fallout NV on a phone which is pretty cool IMO
Make Steam Deck at least half as portable
It doesn't work on steam deck if at all, it's impossible 😵💫☠️😵💫
