It's okay. But best of 3 games would be more fair over a full game then the unpredictability of a 9th and 10th rolloff. Next season go to best of 3 games.
He's alway's been one of my favorites. He was practically unbeatable when he came onto your,he had a crazy win percentage for a few year's. Who know's if not for persistent knee and back issue's. His ball speed and rev rate where almost unheard of. But still even now,20mph and 450+ revs is pretty impressive. Think only a few of the two handers have him beat.
House shot league bowlers have no idea how tough these patterns are. Most league bowlers wouldn’t score 130 on this pattern. A SLIGHT miss is a split. Sometimes, you throw a perfect shot and it still splits because of carry down and that’s not anything you can control. Once thats in your head, you go to shoot an easy spare, you miss. I’m actually impressed by the bowling. It was exciting and they were clearly fighting the lanes. That’s what I love to see. 260s are cool and all but this is grinding!
THIS. I try to tell people all the time that just because you can bowl a 220 in league doesn't mean you can do that on something like this. I'm a collegiate bowler, and the last time I bowled on the Carmen Salvino I think I averaged maybe 170 over 4 games
thats complete BS... Yes, these patterns are more challenging, but anyone old school up the alley bowler who is a good bowler can average 180+ with ease on these patterns. These patterns are all targetted at the modern style of bowing. Power games score higher, but the old school down and in game is more consistent even if they have lower averages. I use a spare ball and throw the ball straight. The oil pattern means absolutely nothing to me. I would average 200 regardless of pattern. And I do bowl on sport shot leagues just because they payout is higher.
Not an AJ fan so I'm happy Tommy won but I hope Kyle repeats, wanted Prather to take it all but he had a tough day on the lanes, happens...let's go Kyle!
AJ out and Tommy In. Just that simple. You can see by Tommy professionalism that the lane conditions were tough but kept a cool head as if he were there before lol. TJ maybe next time and take some pointers. Humble yourself 😁
Neither of these guys looked as strong as Troup on that pattern today. A lot of missed spares, it felt like both of them were kept giving each game back to the other. I guess I'll add the disclaimer that I'm aware they'd crush every house bowler who averages up to 240 on these sport shots...that kind of goes without saying. I'll also add that Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback than you so you can't criticize his play.
You have no idea how insanely difficult these conditions can be. There is burn all through the front and carry down all through the back of the lanes. The best player at most local houses couldn’t break 180 on these lanes
Is it bad bowling if no one in the comments can even compete with these guys? Kyle and Prather used urethane and strong reactive balls and destroyed the oil pattern
@@j-washington3338 if it wasnt for the urethane like kyle described , ruining the pattern, this wouldnt be happening . You should only be allowed to use urethane for one game in a single block/match etc
@@biIIyball I'd like to see you keep your composure on a tough shot like this while in front of millions on national television. Everyone has an off day
@@gavinwinkler1147 Yes everyone has an off day but overall I see way too many spares missed by pros nowadays. These guys are the best in the world and are used to bowling in front of a crowd / on TV. I just don't think as much of an emphasis is placed on spare shooting anymore.
@@biIIyball Maybe you don't see the percentages. The pros still automatic on these spares. Their brains are being pushed to the limit and out of their comfort zones. They're probably still internally trying to figure the lanes out as they shoot the spare. Can you blame them? Don't tell me you haven't done the same.
@@biIIyball On top of that bowling technology has advanced so fast. So many different variables to keep track of. Pros have to focus so much on their first ball because if you don't strike enough, you simply aren't winning. You can clean two-teen all you want, but you won't do more than cash even on tour. It's the 220+ average pros that have success. That requires at least a 5 bagger every game on the toughest conditions in bowling. Why wouldn't they try everything they can to strike more?
You couldn’t throw 190 on these patterns once in a 3 game series. These lanes were trashed with burn and carry down. Miss by half a board and your gonna split
Do you enjoy the PBA tiebreak rules?
Ya they are fair, I like it being the whole 10th frame not just 1 ball!
No the matches should be best of three and if they halve a game total pins. That’s way more fair and the better bowler will usually win.

No it’s terrible. Quit trying to be quirky to entertain and start advertising the talent and personalities
Yeah it should just be best of 3 games. The roll off is dumb imo
after so many years, still love to watch TJ bowl

Exactly…. Bowl on any sport shot and a 5 pin can be tricky if you’re not extremely accurate.

This is actually one of my favorite patterns to play on

All hair vs no hair in the finals

Next week is gonna be goood!
I'm not sure who to pull for. I like Tommy and Kyle. I've bowled regionals with Tommy and Kyle's Dad, Guppy. I'll definitely be watching.
I’LL NEVER TALK TO THE 10-PIN AGAIN
What pattern is this?
Until he gets out of his own head, he will continue to self-sabotage. A little bit of humility goes a long way.
But is was so good tho
I'm lost ....why was there a roll off? Didn't he win in regulation with the strike in the 10th
A.j you shouldn't run your mouth before the match starts ..
That’s typical AJ…..he writes checks his mouth can’t cash.
That's his problem...zero humility. He's convinced himself he's "that good," but has yet to prove it. 🙄

720p and incorrect interlacing on a video from foxsports. unwatchable and embarrassing.
What spare ball is AJ throwing?
looks like a viz-a-ball or other graphic ball
It’s a new KR On-The-Ball (like a viz a ball) that has motiv logo on one side and his “AJ” logo on the other

Just bowl straight.. problem solved
That’s what I think sometimes they look accurate when they throw straight
@@Kobethornton1234 yea I feel like they can hit the pocket easier by bowling straight and not have to worry about challenging oil patterns
The problem is that straighter shots leave a lot more 9 counts and you won't strike enough to keep up a high scoring pace

Nope, all about rev rate and stringing strikes now.
