      Ya they are fair, I like it being the whole 10th frame not just 1 ball!

    • @bowlingvanjapan4099

      No the matches should be best of three and if they halve a game total pins. That’s way more fair and the better bowler will usually win.

    • @hankgolfer1
      @hankgolfer1 2 роки тому +4

      It's okay. But best of 3 games would be more fair over a full game then the unpredictability of a 9th and 10th rolloff. Next season go to best of 3 games.

      He's alway's been one of my favorites. He was practically unbeatable when he came onto your,he had a crazy win percentage for a few year's. Who know's if not for persistent knee and back issue's. His ball speed and rev rate where almost unheard of. But still even now,20mph and 450+ revs is pretty impressive. Think only a few of the two handers have him beat.

    House shot league bowlers have no idea how tough these patterns are. Most league bowlers wouldn’t score 130 on this pattern. A SLIGHT miss is a split. Sometimes, you throw a perfect shot and it still splits because of carry down and that’s not anything you can control. Once thats in your head, you go to shoot an easy spare, you miss. I’m actually impressed by the bowling. It was exciting and they were clearly fighting the lanes. That’s what I love to see. 260s are cool and all but this is grinding!

      THIS. I try to tell people all the time that just because you can bowl a 220 in league doesn't mean you can do that on something like this. I'm a collegiate bowler, and the last time I bowled on the Carmen Salvino I think I averaged maybe 170 over 4 games

    • @TheVlad1616

      Exactly…. Bowl on any sport shot and a 5 pin can be tricky if you’re not extremely accurate.

      thats complete BS... Yes, these patterns are more challenging, but anyone old school up the alley bowler who is a good bowler can average 180+ with ease on these patterns. These patterns are all targetted at the modern style of bowing. Power games score higher, but the old school down and in game is more consistent even if they have lower averages. I use a spare ball and throw the ball straight. The oil pattern means absolutely nothing to me. I would average 200 regardless of pattern. And I do bowl on sport shot leagues just because they payout is higher.

    Neither of these guys looked as strong as Troup on that pattern today. A lot of missed spares, it felt like both of them were kept giving each game back to the other. I guess I'll add the disclaimer that I'm aware they'd crush every house bowler who averages up to 240 on these sport shots...that kind of goes without saying. I'll also add that Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback than you so you can't criticize his play.

      @matts8012 2 роки тому

      @@biIIyball Maybe you don't see the percentages. The pros still automatic on these spares. Their brains are being pushed to the limit and out of their comfort zones. They're probably still internally trying to figure the lanes out as they shoot the spare. Can you blame them? Don't tell me you haven't done the same.

    • @matts8012
      @matts8012 2 роки тому

      @@biIIyball On top of that bowling technology has advanced so fast. So many different variables to keep track of. Pros have to focus so much on their first ball because if you don't strike enough, you simply aren't winning. You can clean two-teen all you want, but you won't do more than cash even on tour. It's the 220+ average pros that have success. That requires at least a 5 bagger every game on the toughest conditions in bowling. Why wouldn't they try everything they can to strike more?
