- This is a review of a new reloading bullet I came across by Acme bullet company. The two bullets are 45 ACP 200 Grains LSWC NLG and 230 Grain RN NLG. I used 5 grains of Clean Shot Powder and once fired PPU cases with CCI Large Pistol Primer loaded on a Lee single stage press. This is a full review to include Chrono graph and accuracy testing check it out and let me know what you think
Very nice pistol build. I think you just demonstrated what I have found in comparing powder coated to jacketed bullets when chrono graphing. I find all calibers of cast coated to be 35-85 fps faster than jacketed or plated, plus additional accuracy. This shows me that fact due to less friction. I am actually able to back off my powder charge by 1/10-2/1oths less powder to achieve the same velocity as jacketed. I find no fouling in the barrel. I eliminated the lube groove in one mold and noticed 3-5 fps increase in accuracy, plus 10% increase of accuracy. The initial use of Acme coated bullets converted me to cast and coat my own bullets for 38-9mm-45acp. Thanks again for the informative video.
They sure make some pretty bullets. They shoot like a house on fire. Used their .357 SWC, .45 200 gr. RNFP and 225 gr. RNFP. All great bullets.
Thank you for the great detail you put into this test. It was very helpful.
Nice video a very good comparison I am going to have to try out Acme Bullets thank you, keep the videos coming.👍👍👍
Great video...thank. you for the load data. I too have Clean Shot and am still up in the air about it. I thought I really liked it, I mean...it's decent. But, compared to some of the others in 45 acp like Clays, Bullseys, and Titegroup and even W-231 it takes a back seat. I really like Clays right now. Again...great video.
Thank you for watching my video I have another series coming out with 9mm be sure to look for it soon thanks again for the support
where can i find load data for those bullets?
They are just lead bullets. Use the same as any lead data.
Thanks for the video! Just got some Acme 45 ACP 200 Grains LSWC and 230 RN . May I ask what overall cartridge length you seated them to?
I load them to 1.255
