Brilliant Polish player and a true champion for many years to come by the look of it judging by Roland Garros.
Simply awesome at choosing her shots and follows through with remarkable accuracy. I've noticed how Swiatek keeps her opponent behind the baseline because her deliveries are almost always on the baseline or sideline, so her opponent can't be sure the ball is staying in or going out: so they are forced to make a last second decision to make their return.... the calibre of Swiatek's tennis would not (will not?) be troubled by power players like Serena Williams, even if she does come back. A most welcome and refreshing 'new order' has finally arrived in womens tennis.

She's been a major favourite of mine since the first RG run, where I'd already said she was a potentially dangerous player, but didn't expect her to win it. Since then she's exploded, winning RG twice more, and the US Open last year. Currently supporting her in her best ever Wimbledon run, and backing her in her QF tomorrow against Svitolina. Go Iga!!

Awesome groundies from the kid, but that is a strange forehand takeback and swing. Keeps her elbow and arm very close to her body and does not extend it at all as she comes through the ball. Yet she still has xlnt power and control. Amazing.
A very fun game. Especially that in fact 2 Polish women played on the court. Iga is just starting great tennis and Karolina is a great tennis player as always. And it does not matter that r represents Denmark. She will always be Polish in her heart.

@Simple Tings Radwanska's brain, but with athleticism and speed. Spin is completely's Iga's own (practically no one on the women's tour plays spin like that, even including the female Spainards/South Americans).
Now that it's 2020, I think Swiatek finally believes and/or has the mental part of the game that allows her to more consistently leverage her talents. With a grand slam singles title under her belt, it will be very interesting to see if she sheds some of the inconsistency of her game from even a year ago.
