Impressive progress bro seeing from ur older video where ur 1 rep max was at 100kg. good job 👏. My 1 rep max rn is 75kg hope to reach ur level one day.
Thanks, I tried a slightly different variation, the feet up bench press (where my legs are not straight like in the Larson but they are still hovering up) while following one of the Calgary barbell programs. Gonna have to try the Larsen at some point as well.
Really your lift is very impressive. My current pr is 176lbs for 4 reps and i want to hit 225 lbs for 2 reps in 45 days can u help me to achieve? And can you suggest me any accessory exercise ?
You can do it man! For me it helped having a bodybuilding block doing dumbell presses and other hypertrophy exercises (and not focus so much on bench press per see). Later on I did the Calgary Barbell program and the weight went up more smoothly. Doing Larsen press for higher reps I think helped quite a lot on that second block.
Appreciate your concern but I am using safeties. When I remove scapular retraction the bar would be hitting the safeties. Plus the cameraman can come to rescue if needed.
Depends, I experiment at different frequencies throught the year. But I found 4 times a week works best for me. That is the same freq from the Calgary Barbell program that I followed prior this PR. Cheers.
The rep and sets changes a lot, I also use variations such as feet up bench, paused bench, close grip bench, bands, etc.. so I cannot say something concrete.
Thanks man. This set is my best so far and will be hard to surpass. I did not test my true 1RM. I am starting the year focusing more on hypertropy but hopefully next time I try to peak it will improve. Cheers.
Not bad but take off the clips. Not needed when benching and if you fail you can tip one side and weight slides off easily... with clips on you can get stuck bad.
1 year later: 120 KG goal reached ua-cam.com/video/oXWmhiZXNHQ/v-deo.html
Strong as hell bro! Keep it up. Motivating to see this
:) Thank you! Its really motivating to see so many uplifting messages. Cheers!
What a beautiful rep that last one, those are the ones i like the most.

Thanks a lot! Yes man you can do it, keep at it. 💪 Have a nice day.
@@Nikhil-hd5oi At 90kg right now. I havent hit 100kg yet. But yes I have been consistent :)
@@juanjuan5698 I have done 90 kg bench press for 4 reps . Can I do 100 kg for single on bench???
yes you probably can. I'm on 3 reps for 90kg and ill attempt a 100kg single soon.@@SatwikDixit-jp2zi
@@juanjuan5698 thanks, the thing is that I don't have any spotter in my home gym so it is quite risky
just saw the 100kg x1 video, insane progress bro keep it up!!!
👍Thank for watching mate!! :) :)
Have you tried the Larsen press? i passed my plateau of 12 reps whit 100kg by implementing it. great strength for your weight

Wish you luck with that goal but its unrealsitic. going from 176 pounds for 4 reps to over 225 for 2 is a humongous jump in such a short time.
Nice!
🙏
Good set, it seems like you’re squirming around a lot though. Maintain a tight back and rigid torso the whole time and it’ll help you be stronger
Thanks. True, normally that does not happens in training, I was grinding out that last rep on this PR.
pls use a spotter for bench

What a silly comment, dudes using safety rack set very good. You must be some newbie in lifting to comment that.
lets go
🔥🔥 🚀
I subscribe now👍
Appreciated :)
how frequently do you bench press? and what is your set and rep scheme?

Good job,I subscribe.
I have 10rep but i have that 1 year now🥵
Ty, really appreciated! 100x10 that is really impressive 👍 and a nice round number. Cheers.

probably like 115?
My 1 Rep Max is 95kg (210lbs) Desperate to reach 100kgs :(
You are almost there, make sure to go for a clean rep!
jesus, you should have spotter
I have the safeties, they are more reliable than the average spotter.
Haveing a spotter and safety bars is always better than just safety bars... equipment can fail...
like 1 chest day away from 100kg bro
🤌🤌 good luck, you will make it!!!
That’s 235, 106.39 kg
That would be if I used American plates, however these are kilo plates, a bit lighter. Cheers. (green=10kg, yellow=15kg, bar=20kg)

I am using the safety bars to the sides. I agree on that if I would not have the safeties. Cheers.
