I get a lot of people telling me that Nintendo should add a special Rainbow cup where you end up racing on every single Rainbow Road track there is. This game sure did bring back exciting memories when me and my cousins went at it until the day that my game got stolen ¬¬. When I get some Wii points, I'm going to get this game.
It says in the game manual and the data screen in Mario Kart 64 that Rainbow Road is 2km (1.24 mi) long, so if he took 5:17:40 to do 3 laps, that means his average speed is 42.3 mph or 68km/h
Mario Kart is so complicated now. So many characters, chassis, tires, and AIR GLIDERS to choose from these days. That's great and all (Hyrule Circuit FTW), but I miss the days when you choose a character, already have a kart to use, and just play with skill on a beautiful track with no seriously dumb gimmicks. Like, the N64 tracks had little details and nuances that were actually worth wandering around to look at sometimes (like N64 Bowser's Castle). These days the features are either uninteresting or hazards that are in your path. I still like the new ones, but they miss that feeling of thoughtfulness. But that's just me.
I do agree with you but mkds and wii were ok you just had to pick a kart and not wheels and stuff but I'm ok with creating your kart if it wasn't so complicated 😫
My opinions on these tracks: DK's Jungle Parkway: Okay, but the music is boring and those stupid coconuts. Score: 6/10. Yoshi Valley: Okay, but WHAT PLACE AM I IN? Score: 6/10. Banshee Boardwalk: Terrible, it's too dark to see it! Score: 1/10. Rainbow Road: Bad, way too long and super easy. Not my Rainbow Road. Score: 3/10. N64 Special Cup score: 16/40
I love this version of Rainbow Road, and the song. It's probably one of my favorite Mario songs ever.
1:16 Thanks for feeding Donkey Kong. It’s too bad that doesn’t create a distraction for him because he’s so far the top driver.
Shout out to Nintendo for realizing that this course was so long, a single lap justified an entire course.

If you want a real challenge, play the 200cc tournament
God damn this brings back memories.
I wish MOD Nation racers handled more like this and included a multiplayer battle arena. This game brings back A LOT of memories, the good ol days!
Longer than the Wuhu tracks from Mario Kart 7 despite being 3 laps rather than 1 lap
hope this one comes out as the final retro race in the next mario kart like the snes rainbow road
bravy2356 Your dreams came true.
2:09
thumbs up if you think this is the longest track in MK History.
@Gojiramonsta505
I'm not doing the Mirror tracks, mainly because I am showing the tracks in the right direction with these videos.
N64 Rainbow Road: Also featured in the Lightning Cup in Mario Kart 8
This one has the best music next to double dash
I think you'll be perfect for speedruns considering how godly you play
01:04
DK says (when slipping on a banana): Spongbob! Spongbob!
good memories :')
Marios neon face looks scary ass hell!
I loved Rainbow Road and I found this Mario kart game the Easiest of all the Mario Kart series.
Rainbow road and it.s music was my favorite in this one now rr is my fave on mario kart 3ds
Rainbow road in mk8! (Renovated and split in sections)
@ShadowMario3 Awesome. I noticed a comment on one of your SMK races saying you had there, I was just wondering if you did with the N64 too.
@playoffexpert1
Nope. I was playing on the Nintendo 64.
Nice job!
@AmaliaDopp Oh, I don't know. I think NGC's Baby Park is slightly longer.
you play very well congratulations
Don't get me wrong. My favorite rainbow road courses are GCN Rainbow Road (from Mariokart Double Dash) and 3DS Rainbow Road (from Mariokart 7).
lol u beasted Luigi at 0:48
As great as Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Road is, I still prefer this one.
@cobenaisboy5 The N64 gave me some of my best chilhood memories. Thank you, Nintendo.
@eljuanineitor it's even in NSMB Wii if u listen closley :D
@Adrianrocks1005
Best one in the Mario Kart series imo.
Part two, devoted to ONE course because it's just THAT long.
@ShadowMario3 how hell you recorded this???? it is perfeect
I think there is a secret start where u go over the wall and your closer to the Finish
it is easy but long it is easy because the hole track has walls
I thought Mario Kart 64 was from 2000?
I LOVE the theme to rainbow road but i like the 3ds rainbow road better.
¿CUÁL ES TU MARIO KART FAVORITO? CONTESTÁME
Creo que Mario Kart DS o Wii
i remember knocking my mate out of he air with a red shell and knocked him off the course lol i won the race and cup cause of that
@ErasersRoq It was sarcasm.
theres a shortcut at the beggining
@IamMrCoolGuy How? it takes 1 to 1 and a half min. this takes 5 to 6 min.
My opinions on these tracks:

Yoshi Valley: Okay, but WHAT PLACE AM I IN? Score: 6/10.
Banshee Boardwalk: Terrible, it's too dark to see it! Score: 1/10.
Rainbow Road: Bad, way too long and super easy. Not my Rainbow Road. Score: 3/10.
N64 Special Cup score: 16/40
Rainbow Road in this game is too boring to race because the lenght of the race is 5 to 6 minutes and shortcuts are nothing compare to Wario Stadium
Where is the EXTRA Cup?
@ShadowMario3 Emulator?
