0.370" Parallel Tip Iron Shafts
0.355" Taper Tip Iron Size
What is the difference and why?
Every day's a school day.
Great little video, I am now a wiser man!
Thank you.
There's a few topics I chat to people about daily and think nothing of it ...and sometimes they're good to know and share on the channel!
Great info….
Cheers ...Not the most exciting I guess but info that might be needed over the next 8 years in the background 😋
Great video, Freddie. PXG irons require a collared ferrule + tip cap in order to fit 0.355 shafts. PXG won't sell these direct BUT they can be purchased online and on eBay also. Nippon also pre-cut (is that a word, lol) their shafts for 0.370 shafts. I know this as I bought a full set of Nippon 950GH shafts and they were already cut to length. The PW & GW shafts were the same length and I was told to still butt trim only for both of those. Incidentally, if anyone is looking for the deeper collared ferrules for PXG irons, TEMU is the place. You can buy 0.370 collared ferrules online but the collar is very shallow and PXG irons require a deeper collar than other manufacturers. They are available in Black only on TEMU 🙂 Also.....normal non-collared ferrules also work just fine on PXG irons. This means you can choose some funky coloured ones if you so desire 🙂
Aha yes, I forgot to mention the little black tip end bits! Good additional points there :) I'd not noticed the 950GH doing that as I've only ordered wedge shafts with .370 accidentally haha but yes that does make sense - Because they were specific wedge shafts, I wrongly assumed they'd be .355"!
@@FredzGolf I only know this because I ordered a full set of Nippon shafts for a re-shaft of my PXG Gen 4 irons. I also just used normal non-collared ferrules and these worked just fine. There shouldn't be any ferrule creep with these either 🙂
Good old KBS 105 shafts. Sadly, no brands include them anymore..
Yeah, It's weird, they just didn't quite sell for some reason ...Not as well as some others I guess to warrant the continuation of including them in options!...Hmmm odd one!
Details 🤙
I was going for a background 8 year tickler and it's doing alright haha
