Thank you for the gorgeous ending shots of the beach as well the as the intricate detailed shots of the Seastar. The huge ammonite is just incredibly beautiful and I really enjoyed the process of preparing it.
Awesome, exceptional detailing, the attention to detailing is a tribute to your father’s craftsmanship. All of you are amazing from the finding of fossil to the finished piece. Thank you making and sharing the videos.
Absolutely loved all of this and especially the preparation work at the end of the video. The quality of the the filming and editing is excellent and helps the viewer engage with the subject. So much so I ordered an ammonite quite recently from your site. Would love to see more preparation videos though. They don’t have to be narrated to still be fascinating although Aaron you narrate them well.
What a video! Truly amazing ammonites, the fossilized wood looked like it had it's bark preserved? and that lovely plate of shells. And then to round off, great footage of that starfish! One of your very best 😊 🦕🦖🐚
Wow! That specimen is special. I can see why it is a favorite. It is stunning! Great work! Hope you find more of this size and quality. Loved the starfish and scenery too! Thanks for sharing your work and adventures.
Wow another amazing video, exceptional work. I never get tired of watching your video's. congratulations on finding such great specimens. Great work guys.
Incredible content as always. Your Dad's skills are phenomenal and you lads are a credit to him with your knowledge and humility. I loved seeing the ammonite go from it's raw state to it's polished finished state whereby we could see it in all it's glory. Thank you for sharing. I love that your family works together both fossil hunting and the restoration. Keep up the great work. And high fives to your dad for his many hours of dedicated and specialised work. One of my favourite channels. Rachelle, Australia 🌏
Absolutely, he really works hard on our fossils. It’s quite incredible to see the process coming along! Thanks so much for watching and commenting 🙏🏻 🦕
So many beautiful ammonites and also really well preped and i hope the rest turns out amazing as well and the ammonite at the end is just so beautiful.
@@YorkshireFossils I myself seen huge ammonites many years ago at the london museum that were giant but that one in your video is the biggest I have seen since then
I have enjoyed watching your videos (though it does me no good as the vagaries of age now curtail me) and am envious of some of your finds. What is particularly interesting is how different are most of the species of ammonites you find compared to where I am, at the other end of the Jurassic layers, in Dorset. Here, the Liparoceras you found is relatively common. I have several whole specimens from circa 3" to 9". Lytoceras is rare, it took me 10 years to find a whole specimen and saw few part specimens. A major difference is that here, nodules showing the keel of the ammonite on the outer edge barely exist.
Dude I worked on deep drainage systems near Hull .we found hundreds of Amonites and some were the size of dusbin lids...no prep they wer suspended in mud ,just needed a wash ..my one still has the irridecnce on shell .
@@YorkshireFossils yeah show a thumbnail of you carrying another madsive Ammonite then in the video have a 3d printed version of you holding a baby dac
How old is it estimated that the large ammonite would have been when it died? Do they think it would have been a ring for a season, like trees, or a ring for a year? An ammonite that size must have really old.
Thanks for watching, we hope you enjoyed the video! *The ammonite mentioned at 00:25 and at 09:30 is actually a Liparoceras ammonite, not a Lytoceras!
Your dad did an amazing job preparing the fossil. Just splendid. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, the amount of time he spends preparing our fossils is pretty mind blowing. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏻

Thanks, we had some great finds didn’t we! I’m not sure if we could say for certain if it was bark or not 🤔 The starfish was nice to see 🌊

@@YorkshireFossils I have to agree on that. Because i know how hard and time consuming fossil preps can be.
Excellent video and finds. Your father is very talented.
Thanks so much 🙏🏻 We’re so fortunate to have him preparing our fossils
amazing work! i respect the awsome work you all do, an amazing find and great work to prepare it to show, thumbs up for your dad!
Thank you for your kind comment, we really appreciate it! 🐬🐳
Some good finds there again and great prep work well done
Thanks mate
That is some really good chiselling work you showed us there. What a tremendous sized Lytoceras sp. 🙌 👏
Thank you Brandon, the Lytoceras is without a doubt one of our favourite ammonite fossils!
Amazing and beautiful work!
Thank you very much!
That Lytoceras is absolutely amazing and incredible prep. Museum piece.
Thanks so much, it was surreal that the entire ammonite was preserved. Certainly a day to remember!
@@YorkshireFossils Certainly don’t come across something like that every day!
Some STUNNING finds there mate that MASSIVE Ammonite is a BEAUTY
It’s pretty impressive isn’t it! Certainly a unique specimen, that we will probably never find again, at least at that size!

Definitely the largest specimen I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. WOW!

Wow 5:40 will look amazing all polished
It should look good shouldn’t it 🙏🏻

Thanks you for the very interesting adventure🎉
You must be so proud of your dad that is the most fantastic job congratulations for finding it and getting it all prepared what did these things eat
We absolutely are proud! I need to read more about the diet of these creatures
Fantastic Prep !
Thanks so much 🙏🏻
Stunning large ammonite 👏
I’m just starting out in this hobby. I enjoy your videos. I especially like the “ Can you spot the fossil” sections. Very helpful👍
Wonderful fossils 👍
Wonderful video! You may have answered this in another video but do you have to treat your ammonites for pyrite oxidation?
What a wonderful channel. Thank you for your dedication. Was the giant ammonite found locally?

You live in a very beautiful part of England. You've a great office.
I’d subscribe again just for the thumbnail!
Haha thanks, I was wondering what people thought of it! Will have to make some more like this

9:09 I think it's a liparoceras and not a lytoceras. It's quite a rare ammonite 😀
That’s correct! That’s an error in the video, thanks for pointing that out! 😬
Great work on the fossil. What was used to stabilize the fossil on the back? Thanks in advance
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the video. I’m not sure actually, I will have to ask my dad
Amazing Videos !! What Camera are you using ??
The ammonite that is being prepared I wonder how many years it took for it to grow that large?
That’s a really good question, I’m not sure actually. You’ve sparked my interest, I will have to look into that!
Increible 🍀
Thank you 🙏🏻
Superbe vidéo,de belle image…merci l ami,dommage je ne comprend pas l anglais!
It's hilarious how many fossils you find in a video.
