What Happens if it Rains in the Driving Test

- The DVSA has a duty of care when conducting practical driving tests. They need to ensure that it is safe for the test to proceed, not just for the candidates but also for the examiners and all other road users. They also want to give all candidates an equal chance of passing.
According to the Met Office, here in the UK, we have an average of 106 days of rain per year, so there’s a good chance it will rain on your driving test. Driving tests are very rarely canceled due to the rain. If on the rare occasion that your test is canceled, you will be automatically rebooked for another test.
Although the government says that they also want to give all candidates an equal chance of passing, many learner drivers fail their test in the rain, they would have otherwise passed.
The video contains tips that will ensure that the rain does not leave you at a disadvantage.
This channel is a great tool for anyone attending a driving test at any Driving Test in the UK. It covers extra things that a learner can do to impress a driving examiner.
Driving Test UK can arrange an emergency last-minute driving instructor with our "Driving Test Car Hire London" service.
We cover all driving test centres in and around London including ABarking, Barnet, Belvedere, Borehamwood, Barnet, Bromley, Brentwood, Chertsey, Croydon, Chingford, Erith, Farnborough, Goodmayes, Guildford,... There are just to name a few!

I can't drive and have put it off due to a phobia of driving sadly. My beliefs stem from my fear that I am too incompetent or not smart enough to ever learn which makes me fearful.
Anyway your calming nature somehow has made me feel I can give it a try and have lessons again. Thankyou. 👍
Hi. Thank you very much for you comment. I am in the process of writing an ebook and an audible on the subject.
It should be ready by the middle of May.
Hopefully, you will not be in need of it!
@@dtc_uk I will check those out! Thankyou for offering these resources. Sometimes people such as myself who have a phobia of driving are often forgotten about and so any thing can help. I will certainly be following your great channel. I appreciate your response.🙏

Hello 👋 Thank you for your kind words 😊
It rained heavily on my test, and luckily I passed. The hour before the test, I thought I would need a boat to get to the test center because of how bad it was lol!
Congratulations on your success Rexeao. Please contain driving safely and commenting on our videos
Haha your comment made me laugh, imagine pulling up into the test centre car park reversing in a boat 😅

THanks. That made me happy
He definitely is 🙌🏽
One needs to drive around a third slower in rain than in the dry. In snow, one needs to drive about two thirds slower than in the dry.
Thanks John for sharing this
Thank you so much. Is there a video on how to drive in the snow?
Unfortunately not. But when it does snow again, i will make one for you

Great tip to take your big puffy jackets off as my students always say half way though their tests they end up getting so hot and uncomfortable 👏🏽
Thanks Anisha
