You must have never seen Steve's 90 Seminar routines, Steve was lightyears ahead of Miz, Alladin and everyone else as far as beat juggling. Dj Cheese once told me that he went to the 1990 Seminar to enter but saw what Steve was doing and he said he realized Steve took it somewhere else and Cheese decided not to enter..

I feel the same . Where was Steve D in ‘89 . You were already seeing records being broken down in ‘89 by Miz & Aladdin . I’m sure if someone ever post ‘88 NMS battles scratch probably was doing it too . This New music seminar battle should’ve been name the battle of the Supermen because they dominated . They passed the belt from Scratch to Miz . The X-men wanted no smoke with the Supermen . None .

@@ljoseph6114 Steve Dee was at the 1989 NEW MUSIC SEMINAR BATTLE FOR WORLD SUPREMACY contest.I know because I was there. He was an alternate for Miz just in case if Miz didnt get there on time.Miz got there a lil bit after the time allowed but he was in the battle.I can even go so far as to saying,in my opinion, that in a weird way that the 1989 NEW MUSIC SEMINAR battle was made for ALADDIN and MIZ to meet again for another go round since ALADDIN beat Miz twice earlier that year at the 1989 DMC northeastern heats in New York(which I was also in attendance for during that cold Saturday night near Delancey street in Manhattan at an abandoned old church)and at the 1989 DMC usa finals In CHICAGO.Steve was upset that he didnt get a chance to be in that 1989 battle so much that during the SEMINAR battle,he shouted out loud"Fuck the seminar!!!". I was sitting in the third row, near the stage, at the Red Zone club on 52nd street that hot July Sunday when the battle took place. And just to inform you, that the routines you saw Steve Dee do at the 1990 DMC and the New Music seminar battles,he had waiting to unleash if Miz didnt make it that day for the 1989 New Music Seminar battle.Another fact-Aladdin and Steve knew each other when they were on the DOPE JAM tour back in 1988.Steve is an honoarble member of the Get fresh Crew(Chill Will and Barry Bee),who he knows personally. He filled in for Barry Bee on certain parts of the tour because Barry was not feeling well.ALADDIN was down with ICE-T's Rhyme syndicate and was on the same tour.Steve Dee was already nice on the set because I saw him dj at party in the fall of 1988 close to Halloween time in Harlem. and the skills he had you just dont get within a short period of time. Here is another fact:STEVE DEE beat DJ SCRATCH in a DJ competition(the 1988 DMC Northeastern heats in NEW YORK)1st place-LIGHTENING RICH from PHILADELPHIA(R.I.P.),2nd place-DJ STEVE DEE,and 3rd place DJ SCRATCH.If DMC had changed their rules,as far as having the 1st and 2nd place winner going to the DMC USA FINALS a year sooner,STEVE would have met DJ CASH MONEY for the 1ST time in a battle.CASH had already qualified to be in the 1988 DMC USA FINALS since he won the 1987 NEW MUSIC SEMINAR dj battle. Some more info that u either didnt know or was privy to.STEVE was the one who was challenging the Supermen crew before the X-MEN/X-CUTIONERS were even formed in 1990.the only "SUPERMEN" member who can say he beat STEVE in a dj battle is PLAZTICMAN at the 1990 DMC northeastern heats at CUANDOS in downtown MANHATTAN.I was there for that and to be quite honest,Steve should have won that when u look at both their routines.PLAZ won because he was able to do the hat over the face routine while going back n forth backspinning "GOOD TIMES" by CHIC.Technical wise,STEVE beat him with no question. you can hear it by the audience reaction when STEVE started his 5 MINUTES OF FUNK routine and ended his 6 minute routine set with WHISTLE's "JUST BUGGIN".But STEVE got him back by beating PLAZTICMAN at the 1990 DMC USA finals in New York(which i also was attendance at)Ican go to say He beat Miz in that same 1990 DMC USA finals.MIZ automatically qualified to be in the DMC USA finals after winning the 1989 NEW MUSIC SEMINAR battle. But I will say that night at the 1990 DMC USA battle,dj's were having trouble with the turntables that night so they had to do what they could to make it happen. So in response to that statement that the X-MEN couldnt see the SUPERMEN CREW in a battle, thats a false statement after u just read what I typed.STEVE was already going up aganist them prior to forming the X-MEN/X-CUTIONERS in 1990 when the original core members are STEVE DEE,SEAN CEE/CANE,JOHNNY CASH, and ROC RAIDA(R.I.P.).I'll also say this-NO DJ and I mean NO DJ has ever won a battle with just straight beat juggling prior to STEVE period.not even DJ SCRATCH.I wish Steve still had his vhs copy of the 1988 New Music Seminar because I saw the copy back in the 90's and SCRATCH almost got beat by a female dj from PHILADELPHIA named SPORTY SHORTY.Though I got mad respect for the SUPERMEN crew for accomplishing what they did and having an impact on the dj game to some people,I didnt see any of them confront Steve about the Beat juggling thing when Steve was on the battle scene from back in 1988.plus STEVE and SCRATCH knew each other from when SCRATCH used to come up to Harlem to Steve's mom house or the MIKE & DAVE parties in Harlem, which STEVE used to dj at along with BARRY BEE. I wanted to comment because certain things had to be said so their wont be any false hoods being perpetrated.much blessings to you and stay safe.

@@ljoseph6114 Steve D actually came up with beat juggling in 1986 but the public didn't see him do it until 1990.
