I was fishing at a river and spillway in New York during fall (early November, 2014). I started jig fishing at a spillway in the afternoon, and I caught a big smallmouth bass (over master angler length), a small bass, and a gizzard shad by sunset. The next morning before sunrise at another river, I started steady retrieving an F9 rapala for walleye, and I ended up catching enough keepers to easily limit out, including the second big walleye (over master angler length) I landed this fall.
