You end up not liking it, you tell us its the best thing ever it sits on your shelf or you sell it (don't get me started on that) 🤣. And then there's the folks who say nothing just tell us what fragrantica says. Some say they aren't good at describing them. It makes me livid there's no good or bad way of telling us what you actually smell, how you feel wearing it, the best bits the bits you may not love... What's hard about that? We can all go read the notes. There are so many of the best, from huge channels to folks like yourself to tiny channels who are brilliant at describing what a fragrance smells like that everyone can understand... Fragrantica might say there's cypriol and labdanum, apart from the fact any note is more than likely an accord but they all smell different depending the on what else is there but its meaningless to not tell us how it smells the raspberry in TFs leather does not smell the same as the raspberry in Swedofts Sweden but we know they are both raspberries... How the heck can someone reading or watching know that unless u describe it. And with that theme what the hell is some obscure note like Rain Flower or soemthing that they tell us they can smell? Describe it then 🤣 we ain't all experts and we interpret in different ways so for the love of God tell us what you smell... I'm sure Mr Bird will still send you some sugar if u don't mention the bits u don't like 🤣 Ok my rant is over peace and love 😂 you need to do these more often Tim as u can tell I bottle all this up. Thanks for being the eloquent and fair balanced voice for us that don't have that way of putting things. Even the sun has it's spots. But I've learned from my mistakes. If we took out the freebies fron the equation I wonder how many accounts their would be? But I'm not against freebies. It is also a new reality we need to embrace. Companies have far cheaper and way more effective marketing through social media. There are a lot of brands I wouldn't know about if it wasn't for social media. For me it is the way this freebie part works. We are making it to easy for the brands by offering ourselves to them. They should and need to be doing their homework. It was a liberating video to make, so I'm not gonna force it, making more of these. I'm very spontaneous and this wasn't a planned video. I just need to get the feeling and then it comes of itself. Another thing I'm not to bothered about anymore is the numbers. Yea I get a kick out of hitting the numbers. But they don't matter at all. It is the engagement, the connections and friends you make that matters. I rather have 100 friends that know me and what I stand for. Then 50k and no one knows my name.... Because that is building respect and trust!

However I'm not gonna use it against them. Because I've got my integrity and what is said to me in confidence stays with me. Social media could be called the "number game" But it is weird. When I was at 8-10k my reach to the ones that followed me was around 4-5k. But when I went up to 12-14k I only reached 2k of my followers. However my reach to none followers was bigger. The one that cracks the code to insta algorithm. I want to know him. Because my next mission for him. Well that would be to figure out how a woman's mind works.

Where do I start 🤣 the tagging not very subtle folks... Good god can't they just do whatever it is they do in private. And I know about the folks "I can do great things for your business or something like that". There is a special place in hell for some. My indie things I've bought or got samples from folks, they deserve our support and even no matter how tiny I am putting a bit out there, not for anything in return. FDB yea I saw a post where someone had about a dozen, quite a smallish page with the mega tagging and they literally seem to never buy fragrances 🙄 upto the companies isn't it I guess. Yea I've been gifted a few but although never rude or disrespectful I think people pretty much know my real opinion. I have literally no ambition to be an advertiser, I'll talk about something in my own style there won't be polished professional type stuff. Seeing real reviews is certainly rare nowadays and that's cos the mentioned Bird brand doesn't at all want you to talk about their fragrances they want an advert... The Insta roller-coaster yea, weird tho some people never experience that dip that we do or 99.9% of Insta... I'm making no comment it's just one of them odd things you notice. One day Tim I'll probably explode and end up with a similar video to yourself with it all. But I try to ignore it and crack on. But yea the absolute nonsense it's become is demoralising. But at the same time the maybe small group of genuine enthusiasts who truly have passion and don't do it dirty, the brands that create with creativity and passion and interact with us to interact not just encourage the insanity and greed make it all worth while. And I have a fondness for a good many influencers too like yourself who don't sell their grandma for more and more free stuff, they too have passion and knowledge. Even when it's a little like an advert some of them have a style and integrity and disclose everything. But aye I've had wine so second time watching I'm less ranty than I was 🤣. I appreciate folks like yourself, we know the game, we know the less than let's say erm "passionate about fragrance", thats polite... Folks out there. But newbies get drawn in and they are the ones parting with huge amounts of money and end up sadly disappointed, now nobody shud just listen to folks on here and buy but sadly they do
Tagging the company in comments is pretty low. 🙄 I could have guessed with FdB and Roja, you can tell from who get and how often you see gifted bottles.
