Ingredient :
1. Sliced Bread
2. Ham
3. Cheese
4. Eggs
5. Bread Crumbs
6. Raspberry Jam or Strawberry Jam.
7. Salt, Sugar

Absolutely delicious. A few things to keep in mind: 1) This is very filling so if this is just part of your breakfast 1/2 would be enough plus the entire sandwich is over 1000 calories 2) Use the biggest sandwich slices you can find, 3) Make sure the ham/cheeses don't exceed the edges of the bread or turning and spreading of bread crumbs will be difficult, 3) When applying the bread crumbs do the sides first and then the top/bottom. It is easier this way, 4) If you want a lighter sandwich use half the ham/cheeses and skip the powdered sugar. I have adjusted the recipe for 1 sandwich but it can be easily doubled.
Fried Ham Cheese Toast/Sandwich

Servings: 1
Ingredients
1/3 cup bread crumbs
powdered sugar
1/4 vegetable oil, Canola also works
1 Egg, Whisked. Season with salt and 1/2 tsp sugar
3 slices white sandwich bread
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 slices provolone or some other white sandwich cheese like gouda would work.
4 slices ham
strawberry jam. Any other jam would work
Preparation Steps
1. Remove the crust from the bread
2. Top a slice of bread with jam followed by 2 slices of each cheese and 2 slices of ham
3. Top with another slice of bread. Spread bread slice with jam on both sides . Add 2 slices of each cheese and 2 slices of ham.
4. Top with a 3rd slice of bread, spread the top side with jam, and flip over.
5. Dip the sandwich in the eggs (all sides)
6. Dip the sandwich in the egg crumbs starting with the sides and then top/bottom.
7. Warm up a frying pan with oil over medium heat. Make sure the bottom of the pan is coated with oil
8. Fry the sandwich until the bottom is browned and crispy. Flip over with flat tongs and fry that side until browned and crispy.
9. Finish by browning the remaining sides and flipping each side carefully.
10. Remove sandwich from frying pan and and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

You need to find the proper bread for this; otherwise you’ll end up with mush instead of a lovely crispy sandwich. The jam component may seem weird to some people, but I found it to be delicious as long as you don’t overdo it.

Looks delicious! One small criticism though, if I may. You fell victim to one of the classic sandwich blunders! The first, of course, is never get involved in a roti war in Asia. But only slightly less well known is this: never cut a sandwich straight across when presentation is on the line! 😂😂😂😂😂
