I will never forget when I was photographing the red carpet at the National Gallery of Art. It was freezing cold, and Jose Andres came and brought hot soup for all of the photographers. That was the kindest gesture I had ever seen! So unexpected, but just shows how much he truly cares about people

I was evacuated in Aug 2020 from the CZU Forest fire in the Santa Cruz Mtns. I stayed at Hotel Solares for 9 days. This amazing group brought 90+ meals a day both breakfast and dinner. I and so many displaced folks were so grateful! The meals were healthy and delicious!!! Thank you World Central Kitchen🙏✌️

Jose is incredible. Anthony Bourdains death was one of the few that really stayed with me. The way that he learned about and accepted people from every walk of life showed that he was one of the best of us, but I don’t know if he could ever see it himself. I’ll always be grateful to him for opening my eyes to things I never would have gotten to see otherwise

We need more men in this nation like this gem of a guy! Bourdain was known to us New Yorkers as a fellow Manhattanite that cut straight to the soul of each person because he refused to be in company of hatefulness nor fakeness. There’s genuine reasons the two are soul brothers …
