  • Hi all, Nicole Denmon here of Denmon Pearlman Law. I wanna talk to you today about the importance of modifying, changing, or revoking your estate-planning documents during the pendency of your divorce and after your divorce. So most people think, "Hey, I'm gonna wait "until after I'm divorced to change "my estate-planning documents, my last will and testament, "my healthcare documents such as a designation "of healthcare surrogate, and my power of attorney document," your financial power of attorney. Those documents I would actually recommend changing during the pendency of a divorce and the reason is is most people who are getting divorced generally aren't trusting their spouses to make the decisions for them regarding their healthcare decisions, financial decisions, and want to leave to them as little assets of their assets as possible.
