Ratchet has such a dull personality in this game. Everything that made him awesome in the original Ratchet And Clank: gone, just like that. Wtf happened?
@@3dudechannel I played Ratchet and Clank 1 as a kid (I was 8 yrs old, I think) and I thought Ratchet was a funny character. One of the things that made me enjoy the entire trilogy as a whole was Ratchet himself. I can't bring myself to believe that kids nowadays are happy with boring, generic characters.
@@leustachiusedits1829 mmmm but the true ratchet was in one. A mad character, hating Clank all the time, didn't want to save the galaxy, etc. That was the true ratchet, but I think that Ratchet is not a good character for kids, anyway, I like him the most
@@3dudechannel I agree that the Ratchet in 1 was the best, but he could've been as charming in the remake. There is no evolution between Ratchet and Clank's friendship, considering they meet for the first time, and Ratchet's transition from neutral to hero is also absent. Insomniac could've made Ratchet less mad and impulsive, while also being able to make him evolve as a character. Also, one of the things that made Ratchet so cool was his motivation of getting back at Qwark. The motivation to join the Galactic Rangers is so generic and already places Ratchet as a hero-like character in the story. I'm sure they could find a better motivation for him that would also let him be a character for kids.

I remember last time destroying those tanks in this planet, and when I accidentally crashed into one, the game crashed itself, sending me back to the home menu. That was the first time I've ever played a PS4 game where it got crashed.
@Twikki I know it’s just my opinion, but I feel like the original game had a lot more emotion, better music, and overall a better storyline. For example, in the original game, there’s a whole emotional cutscene where Clank meets his mother. In this game, though, they turned the whole cutscene into just 1 or 2 lines. I also think Ratchet seems a bit dull in this game compared to the original. Honestly, I got raised with the 2002 game, so maybe I’m just a bit biased. This comment was from a year or two ago, so I was a bit more immature during that time. I’m sorry for calling it a monstrosity. Hope this helped.

MediEvil got a 1:1 remake of the PS1 game. They even used the same audio files in the PS4 remake. Why didn't Insomniac do the same for this game?
yeahhh kind of agree - they could have even remastered the exact same songs like Activision did for crash - its the whole point of a remaster lol
