Thanks to the owners and staff of the Kingston Flyer, and the owners of the dog friendly Garston Pub.
The Kingston Flyer is a vintage steam train in the South Island of New Zealand at the southern end of Lake Wakatipu. It uses 14 kilometres of preserved track that once formed a part of the Kingston Branch. Originally, Kingston Flyer was a passenger express train between Kingston, Gore, Invercargill, and less frequently, Dunedin. It was operated by the New Zealand Railways (NZR) from the 1890s to 1957.
Why is your channel such a hidden gem? Wonderful vid.
I had the pleasure of riding this great train a few years ago when i visited NZ. Glad to see this video of its reserection. Greetings from the Spa valley railway Uk.

Nice to see the good old Kingston Flyer in action
Cheers
It's good to see the Flyer in steam once again. I visited twice during the years it was lying dead and it was sad to see. Thanks for the video, Geoff.
Awesome video. It was recommended for me by a fellow UA-camr that liked my Strasburg railroad videos.
Great combination of drone and other shots.

This is brilliantly filmed and very well edited. Congratulations
Awesome,tyvm :)
thank you. Beautifully editted
Thank you
A creditable and worthy effort. Well done! Couple of supportive comments for your next project... don't be shy (quite so brief) about depicting the act of firing. That's what makes the locomotive go, yes? Showing the firing should be more than just the shovel being stuck into the firehole a few times. What about the tender and the shovelling plate and vision of the fireman working? Also, since you're on board, what about depicting something of the driver's actions? And lastly, perhaps some variation in the sound dubbing? Keep up the good work!
Super.. New Zealand
I see that the 'birdcage' outside-corridor coach is still being used.
Why do I want a cadbury crunchie bar?
👍👍👍👍💫
