Fun fact: The last one (bogo sort) is referred to often as "stupid sort" because of how horribly ineffective it is.
It's basically the equivalent of throwing a deck of cards on the floor and picking each card up one by one over and over again until you get a fully sorted deck lmaoo.

@@bojackhorseman4176 Generally there is no overall effective sort to use, you have to apply the correct sort for the correct form of data and input. The input and type of data you will get will affect the runtime.

Here, I found some stuff on it, and, oh boy I didn't remember it well. Just, it's interesting stuff, based on a lot of very smart-people math, give it a read when you can!

For reference, a bogo sort (the end of the chart) randomizes the values and checks if they’re in order, theoretically it could be randomizing them forever because it’s the same concept as shuffling a deck of cards to get it in order.
Fun fact: The last one (Bogo sort) basically picks a random bar and puts it at the start, picks another, and if it is taller, puts it right after, but if it is shorter, it will restart the process.
If I counted correctly, there are 128 bars on the screen. This means the chance of bogo sort finishing on any given attempt, it will have a 1/128! (factorial) chance of finishing. This is the same as about 1/3.856205*10^215.
If you were to do one attempt every YOCTOSECOND, assuming it is completed at odds, would take about 1.222795*10^184 YEARS! The universe is only 1.3772*10^9 years old.
I actually have the original chart & can vouch for the fact that this has been IMMENSELY nerfed from the first one.
Let’s just say that I play CH on keyboard now and leave it at that.
Edit: So I’m a dummy & didn’t realize that it is the exact same chart, the only difference being that I play w/ a slower note speed like GHP. For anyone who doesn't get the last one (BogoSort):
Every sorting tick, the alg puts every unit it has to sort onto a random place within the sort, basically trying on random chance that everything magically falls where it needs to be in one single tick. This can take from 1 single tick (the magic ONESHOT) to likely infinity
You see the problem on this alg? The more units your sort has, the alg gets exponentially slower in average solving time...
I've been watching that sorting algorithm videos for years, and I'm a huge fan of DDR / Stepmania / guitar hero type games. Dude. I did not know things like this were humanly possible. There are only 3-4 effective algorithms in use, but this one explores all the creative and "fun" ones.
Last entry is Bogo Sort, which stacks all values randomly, until they are magically sorted (one day)
