An Turas Abhaile (The Journey Home) - Méabh

Geantraí beag é seo a chúmas i rith an tsamhraidh i 2019 dom chara ceoil Oisín Mac Diarmada agus a bhean Samantha agus é ag taisteal abhaile agus a leainbhín beag á shaolú.
Tá cúpla laoch ceoil áitiúil agus domhanda sa chúlra anso agus iad imithe romhainn - Tom Mhaurice, Pat Coughlan agus Joe Burke ina measc. Beannacht Dé lena n-anam.
This is a tune I wrote in the summer of 2019 for musician friend Oisín Mac Diarmada and his wife Samantha when he was traveling home at the time of the birth of their little baby Finnán.
There are a few local and international musical legends in the background here who are no longer with us including Tom Mhaurice, Pat Coughlan and Joe Burke. May they rest in peace.

@@YesitisindeedThank you for the insight. Genetics has always baffled me. And, wonderfully, your explanation accounts for the third sis being so much smaller than the other two……or maybe she is a dwarf?

You can see Meabh is wearing earphones while playing the squeeze box and the Bouzouki, she's playing along to a recording of herself playing accordion, which she recorded first. Then combined the videos into one, so it looks like there's 3 of her. Very well done!
