Because of the extenuating circumstances I think that all employers/employees affected should not just receive Unemployment, but should be eligible for resources similar to COVID. Just for them.
Someone need to tell the Governor to stop clicking his jaws. Bad sign. And Someone need to tell the Mayor to sit down and stay in the background..LIKE you been doing. 😢😢😢😢
Meanwhile, states like Florida and Texas are passing anti-immigrant laws. Who builds the bridges? Who raises the harvest? Who works in construction? We Hispanics are something that Americans don't want to do. I hope this country begins to realize how important we are as Hispanics in this country.
@@stewartsmith1947Yes we did. The problem now is that we are a spoiled people. Migrants/immigrants are taking the jobs that we think we are too good to do. A whole generation has grown up distancing themselves from working with their hands or backs. My friend's family owned orange groves. ALL the kid's were expected to work in some capacity. The sons picked fruit, drove trucks, drove grove equipment and helped maintain the groves. Daughters worked in the huge roadside shop and also worked in the groves when necessary. It was a family concern. The kids were paid a little but it was simply how the family did things. When the kids became 18 some went to college and some went into the military. Family sold the groves after that. Mom went to nursing school. Dad went to work as a dispatcher for a fruit transport company . This was in the 70's and early 80's. They were from an original pioneer family here in FL. They were not afraid of hard work. And in this area at that time it was not unusual. Many families had a few acres of orange groves to tide them over. Now no one wants to sweat at work. It is all offices. You can't get kids to take a fast food job now "because it's too hard". Let people who want to work hard for the $$$ do it. Apparently none of us do anymore.
