I love this man SO much. I don't think anyone will ever have as much of an impact on my thought process, writing process, and my becoming-a-better-human process as Kristian has. He has truly changed my life, and, boy oh boy, I'm so grateful. I could say "thank you" until the end of time and it would never ever ever be enough. THANK YOU KRISTIAN!!
"This is not the end, this is fine. I sing that now, maybe to someone else for comfort in all this turmoil. Cause the sea can be pretty heavy trying out the quality of our little fishing boats. Or maybe its just to myself after discovering that this is not the end, this is fine. --- Where do you go? What do you do? I guess you don't have to think about that too much. Because life just keeps on happening; relationships, good dreams, bad dreams, beautiful days, days where you have to struggle to see the beauty in them, and you write songs about it."
My friend and I have watched the album trailer hundreds of times, even after Dark Bird Is Home came out, and now we have a new obsession. This is a beautiful short documentary. This man and his music are just so incomprehensibly incredible.
The landscape is something else, makes me want to visit Sweden. Beautiful video and stunning music.I hope to see TMOE again some time in the future. Much love from the Emerald Isle.
I didn't mean my comment to be understood as competitive. Ireland sells itself, at least in tourism terms, on its greener than green landscapes. That is not the only type of landscape.I just wasn't aware of how utterly beautiful Swedish landscapes are, that's all!
What an amazing album, I'm so annoyed at how critics have approached/underrated it. This video is great, it's fascinating getting a rare insight into his life.
+Tom Gellatly isn't 7/10 pretty good? although in the end who gives a shit about the critics, that's all they're good for. this album was absolutely amazing, critics can't change that
+confism I dunno I think it's defo way better than a 7/10 album. And I obviously agree, I love the album almost as much as There's No Leaving Now, but it still annoys me
For any poetry lovers out there, please check out the rich tradition of Swedish poetry. Begin with Transtromer, then travel back to Edith Sodergran, and be sure to check in with Bruno Oijer. I haven't read anything like them. My goal is to continue my education and translate more into English. I hope to visit that beautiful country one day, made more mysterious from the poetry born there.
Thank you for fighting thru your struggles and creating such otherworldly sounds. Your music never fails to give me goosebumps and helps me to feel that everything is spinning the appropriate speed and direction in my life (in other words, YOU F*@KING ROCK!!!).
Those last lines remind me of "The Rhodora" and Emerson. A lot of pain and purity was surely put into this-- yet the album conveyed such courage and honesty. Beautiful.
Oh, I so love this! You've captured so many feelings, ephemeral until now, I've dealt with over my life. It... this... really, it's this. It explains why I love the music here. Well, maybe not "explains" but "captures" is perhaps a better term. Still, when your songs come up on my playlist, and a friend says, "Why do you like this?" I can show them this video, and either they will understand, or... well, I guess I'll just feel bad for them? :-)
Otroligt vacker och känslofull video, Kristian. Väldigt lik Sean Pens film "Into The Wild". Tack för att du skämmer bort världen med din otroliga musik.
this dude is so frustrating lol, he has all these hidden gems in song intros and films like this and then on this album he only had 2 fingerpicking songs

Pure, lots of love from Mexico x
I love everything about this guy. Feels like home somehow.
This man is a true inspiration, love u Kristian
The tune he plays at @5:10 is pure gold, too bad it never ended up becoming a song
Ivo Maksimovic it’s where do my bluebirds fly
this dude is so frustrating lol, he has all these hidden gems in song intros and films like this and then on this album he only had 2 fingerpicking songs
a good couple licks in here that never made it into the album, i really want him to release an ep of all the tunes he's worked on but never pushed out
Ok. Now I understand how he write such nice songs.
5:31 a little bluebird?! love ittttt
He should release a stripped down version of Dark Bird is Home, I would really love it.
Thst would be absolutely amazing
One of my favorite lines from Transtromer:
"The lake is a window into the Earth."
- Half Finished Heaven
Maravilhoso!
Assistindo pela milésima vez ! Acho que ainda não me cansei.
I don't know why it took me so long to realize that Kristian is The Dark Bird. This is a great short.
This is beautiful
Inspiring film!
this is beautiful!
What is he playing @ 2:09 ?
What is the song @2:09 never heard it before, but it sounds amazing
What was that song he played at 5:01
this is not the end this is fine two thoughts at once the best
Whats the short snippet at 5:51 - 5:54 ?
Okay now i want to go to this place. And i will.
Anyone else think Kristian could be a singer? He's incredible at doing voice-overs, there's just so much character and expression to his persona.
Noah McDaniel ?
Song on @02:12?
All I could think was, I need to learn more synonyms for the word beautiful.
what is that song that begings at 05.02? I really really would like to know, sounds so beautiful!
what pedal he used at 5:08
strymon blue sky or el cap I believe
nope it's not strymon
Where in Wisconsin?
that version of where does my bluebird fly is haunting me...
such a beautiful man
you guys uploaded a clip of him playing the guitar on the woods while a fire heated a kettle or something like that
why did you erase that?
That video posted by Lemmel Kaffe?
different one, it was on this channel for sure
good catch though
I may have to catch that one myself then if it resurfaces.
inspiring man
does anyone know where he was living in Sweden at the time?
+Mick Stanovsek Yes, he lives outside of Leksand, in Dalarna.
He has been living around the same place all his life as far as I know
wow

Days of Heaven @7:08!
