Good tip about where the line on the ruler goes on the fabric! I was never sure if it was supposed to be at the edge or actually on the fabric.

Thank you, Amy. These are wonderful tips on how to cut. I’m cutting from scraps which include large triangles used to make a quilt from about 20 years ago. All of them were in a box, so, when I realized I could get my smaller print rectangle out of the straight side of the triangles, I was happy. I’m not cutting from yardage, and I want to have a wide variety of bright prints. So, I have organized each of the sizes of pieces onto paper plates. All of the smaller print rectangles on one plate, all of the longer print rectangle on another plate, and I do the same with the background fabrics. I have a basket from the dollar tree that I stack all of the plates when I’m finished cutting for the night. It helps keep my cutting table clean, and keeps my pieces organized. It’s easy to travel with the basket of plates with my pattern on top, and I can take it wherever I want to continue cutting pieces. It feels good to get that box of bright fabrics under control.

My method was to cut all the pieces 1/4" longer, then trim up to 6 1/2

I bought the pattern a while back. At about 2 minutes into the video you mentioned an error in the pattern. Could you please give us the correction written out? Thank you!

The pattern says 2” divided by 3 1/2” and should be 20” divided by 3 1/2”
