I purchased a 2021 pre owned low mileage, CPO from dealer who was using it for their finance guys ride. Best decision ever. Lots of tech takes a while to master all, but basics are easy. Great video ! Question: Is there such a thing as a "quiet" SUV....just curious. Currently have a Rav4Hybrid XSE and find its incredibly noisy inside.. Have to blast radio when driving esp on highways. Am searching for a suv with low/quiet cabin noise but want hybrid.
@susanmarino2883 I bought a 2022 Venza last Nov. I wanted a quiet SUV and one with a comfortable ride, the Venza has both. The engine is nearly so quiet too. It feel like a luxury vehicle without the huge price. To all the folks talking the 45k sticker, I recommend looking at used 2022 or 2023.
The Venza is reasonably quiet with more noise dampening material than the Rav4. However, it's no Lexus but has some features bordering into what you might consider "Lexus Territory", like touch door lock/unlock. I'm coming from an old 2015 LX Honda CRV with significant highway noise so upgrading to a Venza was a noticeable reduction in road noise. Some people have complained about tire noise on the Venza. Upgrading to Michelin Defenders seem to help a lot with that.
I have a ‘24 Venza Limited, and I’d say the cabin is fairly quiet. Wind noise is nicely hushed. Road noise is mostly dampened as well, but can be a little pronounced at times, especially if you’re on a poorly paved highway. It may be the cheap, stock tires that are mostly to blame for that.
Love this baby lexus. Not too big as the lexus, not too small as the Rav4, it's just right! Another fantastic review fromm the hardest working man in the auto business!
I like a lot this car design but wondering that if I had an car accident, parts of the car will be fixed/ got easily even though this car will be discontinued?

Cool review, Joe. I can't wait for the first drive of the Tacoma I Force Max, Land Cruiser, Camry, and Crown Signia 😊 Whats the next first drive coming up for Toyota Joe?
Tried to buy a 23 limited, and couldn't get one. Ended up with a Mazda CX5 Turbo Signature, which is nice. Really liked the hybrid engine transition when pulling out. Dad to find out it is going away as we were hoping to look at it in 26. Maybe the Crown will get HUD by then.
18:34 The situational awareness is crazy. Raiti not only slowed down, but also pulled in the same parking lot as the unmarked police car. Great content.
My new '24 Venza XLE arrived a week ago, after also waiting for about 2 months in transit from Japan - loving it!!! Just finished watching this UA-cam....agreed with everything you said. You missed one little feature - opening the tail gate be putting under the back of the car...and magically opens. Thought about waiting for Crown....but NO regrets on buying the Venza. THANK YOU
I drive a 2021 Venza Limited. Raiti’s comments are accurate. I get 35 mpg average, but often hit over 40 mpg. My biggest complaint is road noise. Maybe different tires would help? A minor complaint is I have to duck getting in and out even with the seat as low as possible. The passenger side is worse because the seat is not as low as the driver side and up/down adjustment is not present. The rear cross traffic alert is very good.
I have 2021 and agree. Also there’s a blind spot i can’t seem to adjust mirrors to. While monitor system does work i have had a handful of close call side collisions not experienced with any other car. Design flaw. New 2024 venza no nav. Even on limited have to use phone or pay $17/month subscription
I have a ‘24 Limited and yeah, while it is pretty quiet around town and on really well paved highways, if you’re on a poorly paved highway, it gets fairly loud, sometimes really loud if the road is really bad. I’m pretty sure the tires are the biggest culprit. Mine came with Bridgestone Ecopias, which are designed to maximize gas mileage but unfortunately makes them very loud at times. I can’t wait to switch them out. I knew it wasn’t going to be as quiet as a Lexus, but when it’s compared to a Lexus in many ways, you kinda expect it to be on the quieter side. Other than that, though, I love my Venza.
Yeah, I've also seen the Lexus influence with this beautiful Venza, Joe. I would designate the placement of the rear wiperblade low on the back window nothing more than engineering laziness. Period. Especially when the RX has had the wiperblade tucked nicely underneath the spoiler. Just laziness! FYI, I also really like the look of the car front to back, inside and out.
I just purchased a 2021 Toyota Venza with 54,000 miles for $25k. Amazing vehicle. The ride and the Comfort by superb. According to my phone the decibel sound meter is registering an average of 76 DB while driving 65 mph. The fit and finish is excellent. Although I would have liked a little bit more padding in the elbow armrest. In the passenger seat doesn't lower which has me hitting my head on the roof when I get in. I'm only 5'10. It drives me nuts when Toyota pinches Pennies on something simple as lowering the seat. I can't tell you how many people moved on to other vehicles because the seat could not be lowered. Other than that this is a wonderful vehicle.
Raiti, great review. This level of attention to detail and nice features is what the RAV4 should have had. Two items - too bad no opening roof to go along with or instead of the trick function. And, placing the rear window wiper on top makes for a sweep that's not as effective... the coverage of the sweep is the reverse or inverse of the other position. In your suggested location, that leaves a portion of that all-important lower right rear quarter view untouched. Leaving it on the bottom makes for at least a functional wiper, versus putting it on top strictly for styling. Let's face it, even placed on the bottom coverage isn't incredible,... the best setup by far was the old mid-'90s Camry station wagon with the twin wiper setup! (and Mini Cooper Clubman with its barn doors and twin opposing wipers) -- but hard to justify on what is basically just a fastback.
Drove Venza, Rav, CRV and NX 350H last year to see what to purchase. Rav4 great for families but not luxury at all. CRV alsmot Germanic in comparison. Clean, stiff, cold almost. Venza luxury compared to Rav. NX 350h step above all and class above (price as well). Got luxury package and wouldn't trade it for any of them. Money isn't a barrier for me but if it was any of them are fine but like a good ice cream, just a matter of flavors you prefer.
Looking for my next SUV purchase; just sold my 2001 Honda CRV. Thought I would buy another CRV, but I think I may be in love with the Venza and your review may have just tipped the scale! Thank you for your reviews which are uber informative AND highlight your engagingly entertaining personality!
Nice review. In other markets, it's called Toyota Harrier. It's a status symbol in Kenya (within the Toyota lineup) after the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (Lexus GX), LC 200, and now LC300.
It does look a lot like a Lexus which really doesn’t surprise me since it’s there brand as well i definitely like this car better than the RAV4 it does look more luxurious I agree on the rear windshield wiper it should be up under the lip on that spoiler I haven’t seen the crown but I’m not a huge fan of the car the crown I’m over that steering wheel as well here too I’d buy this over either of the other two if Toyota gets out big my way so I can buy Toyota again it wasn’t my fault they couldn’t supply me with the electronic eye for my Camry and once the radio went it had to as well I can’t drive a car with out a radio I’m it and I couldn’t sell it or trade it in either one so it had to go back to them thank you Joe for another great video Joe and Stephen
So apprciative of your thorough review. I am leaning towards the Venza for its comfort, mileage and pricepoint. RAV 4 is lesser in the comfort and the Crown looks to be more car than i need.
Just bought one today(Limited)….was looking at the Lexus R350H…..and the Venza has all the same amenities (less the horsepower) and I saved about 23 thousand!
I bought a 2021 lease return with really low miles recently, awesome vehichle, SUV practicality with compact car mpg and toyota reliability. Love it, sad to see it go
I placed an order for a limited in mid January and it will arrive in the Canadian dealership at the end of June / beginning of July. It is well worth the wait.
Thanks man for what you do. The Venza is actually a Lexus in diguise..Real nice vehicle..Let me know if Toyota or any dealership in the bay area needs a professional educated man to drive one around for them. I am available!
I have a ‘24 Venza Limited and those Bridgestone Ecopia tires are LOUD! I also lost 1/3 of the tread on them in less than 4000 miles. I changed those out for Michelin CrossClimate2s and they are way better and way quieter. It’s such a great ride now.
Is it just me or does the digital rearview mirror seem to look to the sky and not the road?? Is there a way to angle it down or something? Can barely see any cars on there
At 9:04 i thought the door panel was ugly but that I could get used to it. Then he panned over to the monstrous dash display (that looks like an afterthought) and that was the deal breaker. Nope. I'm out, and going back to admire the Buick Envision Avenir.
I just bought a new 2024 Venza XLE, two days ago. Traded my RAV4 XSE hybrid for it. What an upgrade this is! Same drivetrain, but the rest of the vehicle is luxurious and Lexus-like. I liked the RAV4 XSE a lot, but the Venza XLE really takes it up a couple of notches. I could've bought the Lexus NX, but I hate paying so much for just a good name. The 2024 Venza was the answer. It's hard to believe that Toyota is dropping the Venza for the ugly bloaty Crown Insignia. Not everybody needs or wants to huge SUV like the Insignia, but they want luxury, like the Venza. If I wanted to, I couldn't fit the Crown Insignia in my two-car garage, because it's so wide and long. My garage door won't close. With the RAV4 or Venza, it will fit. Years to come, I will not be buying an Insignia due to its size. I will most likely have to buy another RAV4, because of its perfect size, since Toyota took the Venza off the table. DAMN!
I agree the Insignia is more of a raised wagon and not a SUV. I would not call the Insignia a replacement for the Venza. Actually I think the Harrier (Venza in the US/Canada) will continue to be available in Japan and Asia beyond 2024.
@@Jupiter_Crash I'm 6'1" tall, probably now only 6', since I just turned 66 years old. But no, my head does not come close to hitting the roof or ceiling of the Venza. I have the same amount of headroom as the RAV4 XSE hybrid that I traded in. The Venza is a really nice vehicle like the Lexus NX, but is more than $10,000 less expensive.
I love Toyotas because they’re extremely reliable, according to Car Wizard. Toyota is definitely one of my favorite brands, I’m a Mopar guy but Toyota’s definitely the best when it comes to reliability!
I’ve always preferred the venza with the V6 before that was discontinued and now this one is going away. Let’s see how the crown does with that being its replacement
(Edit, you just basically answered what I was talking about) I can only assume that the Toyota Crown Signia is what's ultimately going to replace the Venza. Unless there's a model I'm forgetting about, the Crown Signia seems to be the way Toyota is heading. They want the world to be able to experience the Crown lineup in a very interesting way, and I'm all for it. Now if only we were getting the Crown Sport in the States. That's a vehicle that I'm really intrigued by.
7 boxes of Jr mints for those longer surgeries… 😅 … seriously, I’m super excited about this car. Hopefully I’ll still be able to find one by the time I’m ready to buy
Let’s, see… Hands free tailgate, heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, digital rear view mirror,360 top view, 12 inch touch screen, digital customizable dashboard, remote start, panoramic sunroof with stargaze technology, 40 mpg, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, additional sound insulation comparing to rav4, HUD display full spare tire, Lexus like soft touch finishes. Also all venzas are made in Japan. And all of it for slightly more than 45k!!! NO WONDER, they had to get rid of it to avoid cannibalizing their nx350h sales. There wasn’t enough of them. That’s why sales number were low. There’s still a waiting list for them at dealerships!
I’m guessing we will start to see the rear wiper phasing out since the digital rearview mirrors are becoming more common place. Also due to the major pressure applied by Joe Raiti’s ZONK! :) Great review….keep up the great work Joe!
The camera for the digital rear view mirror is inside the top of the rear windshield, so you’d still need the wiper to wipe away the rain drops to keep a clear image for the camera.
@@ryanzeid146 Ohhh, I was thinking the rear camera was just under the rear spoiler (outside). Didn’t realize it was inside the glass. I learned something…thanks.
Joe, I’ve commented on the Venza before. I own a 21 Limited and it’s been fair. A lot to not like and some to like. What bothers me the most after 32 months is the mileage has dropped significantly. It’s expected in cold weather here in Minnesota but it’s decreasing at a 25% rate! Even in the mild weather we’re having this winter, I’m at 31-32 mpg. Everything has been checked but it still is losing mpg. The upgrades made to the 23 infotainment is welcome. My Venza ran $44,000. Thankfully it’s leased and will be gone by May.
As a follow up, my lease was up in May. After much consideration, exploring many new and used vehicles, I decided to purchase my Venza Limited. The lease buyout was at 62% of $44,000 MSRP and there was NOTHING available at that cost for a fully loaded 4-wheel drive SUV that I knew was well maintained with newer tires and had a favorable insurance rate. Because the cost was so favorable, I added an extended warranty for 70,000 miles and 5 years through Toyota. I’ll still miss an opening sunroof but I’ll drive the car for at least 3 more years. Then, I’ll visit my options.
@@ivandoneshefsky4762 Hello Ivan, I have a 21 Venza Limited and my mileage is getting better. It's almost always above 40 mpg, but many times I can get 50. I do live in Texas and it's hot here but not much reduction in mileage ever.
I love my Venza and think Toyota is making a mistake. I find it interesting that in the last week a few reviewers on UA-cam did videos like this about the ‘24 Venza. After them being so hard to find for so long, are they having trouble selling them now that they are in their final year?
In July I traded my 2022 RAV4 SE hybrid for the Venza XLE. I’ve been really happy and feel the car would be perfect except for three design flaws. First, as mentioned in this review, the location of the rear blinkers and back up lights are too low to be seen by a vehicle directly behind you. Second, although this vehicle is 6 inches longer than the RAV4 there is actually less cargo space behind the rear seats. The biggest gripe, however, is the location of the start button which is located within the center console area. Not only does this reduce the storage space but even after two months of ownership I continue pushing the trip reset button which is located where the start button should have been. Annoying, but not the end of the world. Overall, I would still recommend the Venza. I feel like I’ve gotten a lot of value for less than $40K!

Always liked the Vensa
I’m so glad that I can bring it to you
Yeah, I've also seen the Lexus influence with this beautiful Venza, Joe. I would designate the placement of the rear wiperblade low on the back window nothing more than engineering laziness. Period. Especially when the RX has had the wiperblade tucked nicely underneath the spoiler. Just laziness! FYI, I also really like the look of the car front to back, inside and out.
Ordered a 24 venza, have owned 3 venzasand loved everyone, missed a lot of other features in his previous presentation
This car seems to be the spiritual successor to the first generation Lexus RX or Toyota Harrier
You are correct
In asia, it’s badged as Toyota Harrier. It’s a higher up like Toyota Vellfire and Alphard
Had a 22 Venza, family is growing needed more space. Still miss and think this is a great package. Venza still on top of my list !!
Good review, thanks Joe! Likely my wife's next car and there's not a ton out there on it.
Looking for my next SUV purchase; just sold my 2001 Honda CRV. Thought I would buy another CRV, but I think I may be in love with the Venza and your review may have just tipped the scale! Thank you for your reviews which are uber informative AND highlight your engagingly entertaining personality!
You are so very welcome Victoria! It is a great SUV!
Nice review. In other markets, it's called Toyota Harrier. It's a status symbol in Kenya (within the Toyota lineup) after the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (Lexus GX), LC 200, and now LC300.
I have the 2021 Venza and love it..I get 43-47 MPG in the suburbs of South Houston...
Thank you for taking the time to say that and let me share it with you!
Love it, sad to see it go
are there any disadvantageous buying a model that will be discontinued?
هناك انتاج جديد من فينزا موديل ٢٠٢٥
I placed an order for a limited in mid January and it will arrive in the Canadian dealership at the end of June / beginning of July. It is well worth the wait.
Thanks man for what you do. The Venza is actually a Lexus in diguise..Real nice vehicle..Let me know if Toyota or any dealership in the bay area needs a professional educated man to drive one around for them. I am available!
Its far from a lexus
I have a 21 Limited. It’s not close to a Lexus.
I have a ‘24 Venza Limited and those Bridgestone Ecopia tires are LOUD! I also lost 1/3 of the tread on them in less than 4000 miles. I changed those out for Michelin CrossClimate2s and they are way better and way quieter. It’s such a great ride now.
Thanks for sharing that great ownership input and experience!
Isn't it going to be replced by the Toyota Crown Insignia?
Is it just me or does the digital rearview mirror seem to look to the sky and not the road?? Is there a way to angle it down or something? Can barely see any cars on there
Good point.
Mine is angled perfectly on the road. I will have to check and see if it can be adjusted. There has to be a way.
Great SUV ..👏🏻
At 9:04 i thought the door panel was ugly but that I could get used to it. Then he panned over to the monstrous dash display (that looks like an afterthought) and that was the deal breaker. Nope. I'm out, and going back to admire the Buick Envision Avenir.
Venza is ABSOLUTELY the way to go !!!
This looks perfect but I'm very concerned about it being discontinued. How does that affect my maintenance support, parts, and resale in 6-8 years?
Good wishes to you , Lori and Steven. Strength building is good for you form the perspective of longevity.
How tall are you? Do you find your head almost goes into the roof when you sit in any of the seats?
@@Jupiter_Crash I'm 6'1" tall, probably now only 6', since I just turned 66 years old. But no, my head does not come close to hitting the roof or ceiling of the Venza. I have the same amount of headroom as the RAV4 XSE hybrid that I traded in. The Venza is a really nice vehicle like the Lexus NX, but is more than $10,000 less expensive.
Its not just a good name though Lexus fairly prices their work.
Toyota dont export Harrier to US? or under different name?
because this vehicle called Harrier in my country
im little confused
I love Toyotas because they’re extremely reliable, according to Car Wizard. Toyota is definitely one of my favorite brands, I’m a Mopar guy but Toyota’s definitely the best when it comes to reliability!
The Venza limited is definitely a good value for the money in today's market.
I’ve always preferred the venza with the V6 before that was discontinued and now this one is going away. Let’s see how the crown does with that being its replacement
Thanks Joe and Steven…….happy groundhogs day ! 😁
It is an amazing suv, smooth ride, comfy, strong, secure.
Please do a day in a life with what I eat in a day. Thanks 😊
Why did Toyota never promote the Venza like they should have? I had never even heard of this model until about a year ago.
Pandemic timing,lol
@@mikefrank6162Good point. I hadn't thought about that because I was living in Texas at the time. We didn't overreact to Covid, but many places did.
If I want luxury Toyota Hybrid vehicle, but I don't want a Lexus, that's it 😁
Please consider reviewing the RWD m240i. Not a single large channel has covered it.
7 boxes of Jr mints for those longer surgeries… 😅 … seriously, I’m super excited about this car. Hopefully I’ll still be able to find one by the time I’m ready to buy
I love my 2021 venza, but I am willing to upgrade to a 2024 venza because of your demonstration.
Just got ours tonight She Loves it
Are You Still Going To Do Mazda CX-90 Reviews?
He already did!
It's a shame that Toyota is killing the Venza once again....this reminds me of my old 2014 Avalon hybrid...plenty of "Lexus" luxury in a Toyota badge.
Toyota is smart to not jump on the total EV bandwagon. Wise move on their part!
Let’s, see…
Hands free tailgate, heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, digital rear view mirror,360 top view, 12 inch touch screen, digital customizable dashboard, remote start, panoramic sunroof with stargaze technology, 40 mpg, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, additional sound insulation comparing to rav4, HUD display full spare tire, Lexus like soft touch finishes.
Don’t forget power folding mirrors… none on RAV4!
My family is trying to find an LE trim for my Father in law. Great vehicle with Lexus levels of fit, finish and features.
I love my LE, cost less, I don’t need the extra fancy stuff, the LE has exactly what I needed.
Hard to find an LE trim. Local dealer said he hasn't seen one in over a year.
Do the rear seats recline? Is this cheaper than the new Crown?
I have a 2023 Venza limited. No sun roof, just solid. Was I gyped? Didn't even know it had the sunroof option, I got the only one at the dealer.
Its an optional $1400 feature
Yes of course Joe & I hurry up and buy one.
I just bought one today... pick up in 2 days... im going to use it to uber with... 40 mpg... thats a deal!
That is so fantastic! You are going to love it!
