I was painting as I was listening to you in cutting in on the corner where I could not make a mistake and then you said "may my club stay shiny" needless to say after bursting out laughing my arm moves and I made a mistake. LOL
I just got a M6 driver and I have a natural fade and I started out hitting a draw the first time using the M6. A pleasant surprise when you have fought with the dreaded slice. I love the M6 Though. It’s much easier to hit for me, same with the M6 irons and 3 wood.
Too bad TM threw away Adams. Love that Tight Lies titanium 3w in 13*. Would’ve loved to have seen Adams continue with TM’s budget and oversight. Hoped to see adjustable Adams woods and hybrids to continue.
Loved the graphics in the video mate, very pro 😉. What I like most about witb videos, is a demo shot of each club. That way you can talk us through the practical benefits of what you really like about the club and we can watch your awesome swing!

I feel you Rick, I just switched from some forged irons ive been using for a couple seasons to a cast iron that in every way I perform better with but I cant help but miss the feel of my old forged sticks. I know that that will keep me from ever being fully sold on my new irons

Big congrats again on the TM sponsorship/partnership! Seems like especially since the PSI Tours, TM has really released some beautiful “players” irons. The p760s seem like the perfect tech + playability marriage. The spider line of putters & the hi-toes have also been a big hit w/ everyone I know who plays them too. Of course TM’s drivers have always been excellent. Hopefully these clubs serve you well! P.S. the head covers look class & yes, the alignment stick head covers are definitely 😄👌🏻
Nice selection of shiny new sticks mate! If you have a bad shot or round you are allowed to use the excuse "I'm getting used to my new clubs", but keep in mind that excuse is only valid for the first 5 or six rounds!! 😉
Always fascinates me how much interest a ‘What’s in the bag’ video gets. Can anyone who reads this, if anyone, explain why it’s a useful video to watch? Pete is a professional golfer and signed to Taylormade, so you’d expect him to be using the latest and greatest gear on the market. You could have the same bag as Rory and still be just as bang average as most club golfers, so why does watching a video like help in any way? Not hating, just asking a genuine question and making an observation

Not gonna lie, that cover for the alignment sticks is a great idea. Few years ago I was playing in a cart and put my driver back into my bag without the head over on. My alignment sticks left a couple of huge scratches that I still cringe at when I set up to the ball

I had an M6 driver and hated it. The club face was too short floor to crown for me. I would either hit a sky ball if I teed the ball up 3/4 above the crown, or graze the ground if I put the ball about half above. I hope that makes sense. I never had a problem with my R1 driver. The R1 does have a taller club face though.
I suppose I wouldn’t be the club fitters favorite because of my nature to stay away from pure numbers and statistical data and go with what feels good. I’ve had several detailed and tedious fittings that churned out numbers stating this and that and in the end I went back to what I was comfortable with and played strokes lower with what I felt comfortable with.

What an awesome bag of clubs! Those P760's look amazing. I have the same problem right now of trying to choose between my new driving iron and my old trusty 5 wood. Ill probebly carry them both and when needed hit both in the same situation to choose.
Well done.. good luck! I also went for the M6 after a driver fitting. I was fully expecting to drop the extra $$$ on the M5 because, well... doodads and movable thingees. I was using a 2017 M1 that I picked up last spring. The numbers and feel didn't lie. Ball speed off the M6 was 8-10mph more than the M1 and 3-4 more over the M5. Dispersion was better on the misses as well. Also- the M5 just didn't 'feel' right. I couldn't seem to square it up and center it as easily as the M6. tried a different shaft in the M5 and it didn't really help at all. So I saved a few coins by going with the M6- but all that did was allow me to pick up a few dozen TP5x. (which btw, got me an extra 15 yards at the end of last year when I switched from the Callaway Supersoft.)
Hey Pete previous to the p790 2 iron you had the mizuno hi-fli. Have you noticed much difference between the two. Both I'm sure have very soft feel, but is one more forgiving and easier to hit then the other? Also great video
Nice vid Pete. Why not just switch between 2 iron and 5 wood depending on course ? I understand a lot of the tour pros use the lower flighting 2 iron for the more linksy/windy courses. Just going to have to get used to them both.
Same question as rocknroll golfer, how are you finding the transition from the one length clubs? Also, if you've suddenly found you've gone from a fade to a draw, would it not be worth checking the fitting before making any swing adjustments?
Interesting to hear you say you’re unsure about whether to use the UDI driving iron or your 5 wood. Surely the iron will fly lower and the 5 wood higher. You going to chop & change depending on the wind??
My old Rocket blades have that same alignment grip and I love em! Personally I prefer 5W and hybrid, as for me the 2 iron is rough. God can't even hit a 2 iron!

My setup (12 clubs, room for 2) right now is; Cobra F9(driver / 3wood ) ----gap---- TaylorMade P790 (5 through P) Titleist vokey 2009's (52, 56, 60 degrees) Putter Considering Cobra F9 5wood, 3hybrid or 5hybrid for the gap. The 3wood is absolutely fantastic, so I may be leaning to the 5wood+5hybrid over 3h+5h.. But maybe you have some insightful suggestion/idea? :D Cheers!
Hi Pete, quick question. I want to buy a P790 UDI but can’t find anywhere to try it before I buy it. I’ve hit the P790 irons and GAPR low and I feel like I my decision is set to get the UDI. If I’m ordering one online, should I change the lie and shaft length to match my irons or keep it standard? My irons are .5” long and 2 degrees flat. Also, do you know anywhere in the UK that I could try one??
If you have doubt between your 2 iron and 5 wood ... maybe the GAPR could be a solution for you ? I am not a your level, but still playing from HCP 3 and I have put a GAPR in my bag, it is so easy to hit .... have the flight of the P790 2 iron but the foregiveness of a 5 wood ... and you can use it from the rough as well .. 👍

I went to a 5 wood as well. My second shots on par 5’s are consistently a sand wedge away from the green in the short stuff.
