New EP is excellent after many hot or miss albums. Definitely research the earlier discography. I would say check out "The Jester Race" album, it's phenomenal and my personal favorite despite many others such as whoracle, colony and clayman.
This is a great song. Has some elements from old school In Flames. I listened to them a a lot through Reroute to Remain but lost interest in most of their follow ups. Always a few good songs but most were nu metal sounding to me. But this is a good song from them.
i'm an old-time IF fan, but this was a good song. you guys are right in that a couple parts lacked some punch, and i wish anders would sing less because his harsh vocals are sweet. reroute to remain was the last album where i really liked almost every song. colony, clayman, whoracle were all awesome. i like jester race, but not as much as these others. interestingly, some of the chords in this song sound exactly like some of them in jester race...so there's that. thanks, you guys are one of just a very few reactors i watch anymore. cheers
In flames, pioneers of melodic death, they have a massive catalouge for you to go trough. remember always putting my fathers in flames cd's on when i was growing up. simply always been there in my music life.
Surprised someone that loves music as much as you hasn’t checked out in flames! Gotta do more. Was lucky enough to see them a month ago. Really great band and really good dudes. Gotta react to Take This Life by them.
@@earendilthemariner5546 He was absolutely incredible live. Both cleans and harsh. They opened with Forgone and he nailed it. Whole show was really great.
Love you guys and would love you to react to a totally underrated band who never seem to get a listen. The band is Nefilim and any song from their only album Zoon is imo a classic. Keep up the good work guys.
In Flames are my fav band of all time without competition ever since hearing them first time. They are most recognized melodeath metal band ever for a good reason. Their early stuff and mid stuff is legendary. They are most known for insane riffage. Please check anything from this list, you'll thank me afterwards: Pinball Map My Sweet Shadow Jester's Race December Flower (best solo ever) Crawl Through Knives Take This Life Colony Clayman Worlds Within the Margin Ordinary Story Only For the Weak Honestly there are too many. Just saw them yesterday live with Orbit Culture, At the Gates and Imminence in Vienna and OC and IF especially destroyed it. Thanks for this video.
@@johnnylemon9610 Hehe doubtful, mate. In Flames have special meaning to me. Their early moralistic overthinking philosophical views in lyrics regarding world around us and inner struggle are basically my life and how I think about almost everything. Add to that unmatched melodic emotional riffs and best screaming tone I've ever heard in Anders and nothing could ever come close. Just saw both IF and OC live and they both destroyed. Very special evening where both bands played.
OG In Flames were a core part of my teen years.
Same, In Flames and Trivium were my bands lol
Amazing band. They were the pioneers for melodic death metal🤘

Interesting choice for a first listen!
I'd suggest something from the mid 90s-2000s era for a better taste.
Never heard In Flames?! They were one of my favorite bands growing up.
Well, there are tonns of bands that are not much known, but awesome nevertheless (Unearth, Stoned Jesus, Karna for example).
the brilliance of this sonmg is that it is a fusion of the old flames many of us love, and what works about their newer stuff,
If you continue down the In Flames rabbit hole:
Cloud Connected
Only For The Weak
My Sweet Shadow
Artifacts of the Black Rain
Trigger
Take This Life

Can't agree more!
Well if you need more In Flames, you kinda have to start with - Take This Life -

In Flames / Soilwork - where have you guys been? Crack on and enjoy 🤘 (Soilwork- Overgivenhetten. Start there)
Steelbath is a better start
You MUST react to the new InFlames Song "Meet your maker" 🤘
Going to see them live tomorrow. I am so exited!!!!
The guitar licks are very Swedish folk music. They did a lot of those in their early days. Just love it.
You can't not like them if you like Opeth
Oh man are you in for a ride... InFlames is soooo great!
LEPROUS - The Sky Is Red (Drum Playthrough by Baard Kolstad)
Since you love drums you gotta react to this version.
YES! They need to listen to some Leprous.
If you don't know In Flames you should check song 'I am above', but the band is pretty amazing and quite old :P
For me this is the best song on the album. Btw I've been listening to In Flames since 97.
Going to see In Flames I Gothenburg on Saturday!! Been a fan since the first record from 1994. Melodic Death from Gothenburg Sweden
Lost interest in In Flames after 2004. I'm old head. Can't stand his cleans...
First time hearing this band. Pleasantly surprised. I was expecting heavier sound with that band name tbh. good stuff though.
Look up zombie inc by them for some of the best melodic metal ever written
Who live in flames melodies kind of remind me of mediaeval music, if it was written by some drunk suites in the 80s, who will listen to death metal😅😂😂

I saw a comment that this new album is gonna be shit to play live because anders isnt a good singer or something.
Whats he like live?
@@earendilthemariner5546 He was absolutely incredible live. Both cleans and harsh. They opened with Forgone and he nailed it. Whole show was really great.
Older in flames were awesome
Well.. now you have over 20 years to listen to, one of the best bands out there
Amazing song!😎🤘🏻
Loved In Flames since I discovered them in 2004 when Sense of A Purpose came out.
check out foregone pt 1, much better
Foregone 🔥
🤟🇸🇪
Just saw them live recently on their europe tour. Unfortunately, they weren't playing that song :( but it was still awesome

rad
seeing people falling in love with In Flames' song makes me stupidly happy
You'd love Foregone Pt1 more then :)
Been subbed since the days of you listening to Gojira in your car. Keep it up
Thanks for the support 🤘
more flames!1

Thanks for this video.
