Every tool, every piece of crappy lumber, every technique...I'm learning eveyone has a need to broadcast their approach/critique. It gets annoying. You just nailed it. I suddenly want a scribing tool ("dowel pins") like that...a safe punch without having to be complicated or marring the outside edge without a mallet or something.
Sorry it's hard for me to relay everything without taking so much, I agree I need to talk less and just show the process.
